    i think it's millers job to lose at this point. the big question is with wuertz back and wood hurt, who gets the open pen spot-guzman or cherry? cherry has obviously earned it over guzman and it would be a shame imo to send him back to the minors. if dempster tanks and marmol cant find his control cherry might end up closing some games for the cubs. I don't see why Marmol and Cherry would get many save opportunities if Dempster struggles. Why not Wood, Howry or Weurtz?

    Where did Thad Matta coach before he went to Ohio State? I can't quite remember... He was a long time assistant coach for Chuck Daily in the NBA. I don't know if he had a college coaching gig though. Xavier, which is what Andy was going for, since they talked that up during the Xavier-OSU game. To defend the media, that is a pretty big story especially with Matta leaving Xavier in the manner that he did. Obviously the media is going to focus on that sort of thing. The same goes for Ben Howland and Pittsburgh. Also, in Matta's case, he was facing players at Xavier that he recruited to the school. Of course it's going to be a big deal and the media is going to talk about it a lot. Howland recruited Aaron Gray.

    OF James Adduci - the Cubs got him from the Marlins for future considerations. He'll probably be at Peoria or Daytona.

    Hey guys, did you hear??? Ben Howland used to coach at Pitt!!! And Jamie Dixon is his best friend! I think this is the first time I've heard of it. :roll: The media sure can be repetitive.

    It's becoming painfully obvious that Steve Lavin is extremely jealous/bitter of Ben Howland and UCLA as he is leading the "UCLA is winning ugly" crowd for the second straight March.

    I wish they would switch to that close game. They did here. I figured they switched nationally since this is the only close game. Unsurprisingly, CBS is still showing the USC game here. They were stupid at times while showing the UCLA game - switching to UNC-Michigan State as both teams were taking out their starters.
