  1. I was waiting for an Illini fan to make this about them. Just didn't think it would be you We get it, you don't like the Illini talking about their team in every thread. You only encourage it by bringing it up. I didn't realize my opinion on this was against board rules. And I'm pretty sure I didn't invent beating a point to death here. I didn't say anything about board rules.
  2. Nothing beats the Bears - Arizona Cardinals game thread though.
  3. Nice outing. Great to hear about the better curves and improved velocity and command.

  5. I doubt it-they still have Kyle Singler coming in, and him combined with the people they have right now will put them into the tournament. Singler, along with what they have already, should get Duke in the same place they were this year - middle of the ACC and in the tourney.
  6. As great as the 93 mph readings are, his struggles with the offspeed pitches are VERY worrisome. :| Baby Steps No doubt, and his FB has come along real well but the curve hasn't improved much at all. EJ's comments about having a couple nice curves is very encouraging to me.

  8. That is so odd.... I'm not iomplying anything, but that simply is not normal. Huh? My bad.
  9. Let's make this an NCAA turning-pro thread. Arizona's Marcus Williams and LSU's Glenn Davis also are going to turn pro.

  11. He's hit 90-91 a few times in the second inning but his command still isn't great. Check out the game thread.
  12. I don't see why there should be a slap on the wrist just because TLR was at .093 as opposed to some higher BAC. He was asleep, the engine running, at a traffic light. He's very lucky something horrible didn't happen. Just because he wasn't at 0.2 BAC doesn't mean he couldn't have done something dangerous given his altered state.
  13. So Prior's change is working but his curve isn't? Is that right?
  14. So you're saying he was on the juice in HS & college? Come on No kidding... NCAA drug testing is pretty strict for top-level programs. I have friends who swam for Penn State, and they'd get out of the pool after practice and have someone waiting for them in the locker room to get a pee test. And that's just a swim team. Thank you, 98 and Truff.
  15. Looks like there are some thunderstorms coming from the south that might affect the latter portions of the game.
  16. That was such a good game. http://retrosheet.org/boxesetc/2003/B10030CHN2003.htm
  17. Congrats, you must be one tough dude!
  18. It's a fact that sober drivers kill people all the time. Not saying that driving impaired is good, but you could say it's luck anytime you step foot in a car and don't get in an accident. You can't pin all those accidents on the alcohol. Again, not excusing LaRussa. All DUI's are not equal. You have got to be kidding me.
  19. http://image.weather.com/web/radar/us_phx_closeradar_plus_usen.jpg http://image.weather.com/web/radar/us_phx_ultraradar_plus_usen.jpg Looks like the showers are over and you're good to go in the Mesa area. Where are you staying in Peoria? Last year, I stayed in Mesa.
  20. Well, it was just as bad for him and I was disgusted with him. To me, it doesn't matter whom it is, driving while under the influence is not cool. I can't believe some of the posters in this thread. So what if his BAC wasn't that high? He obviously still shouldn't have been driving - he was asleep while his car wasn't at park. He obviously couldn't handle as much alcohol as he did consume. There's a reason the BAC cut-off levels are as low as they are. But I'm glad you all can handle your booze so well.
  21. It's not that hard to spell Jeff's name.
