  1. Thomas and Foster is a really good haul for the 49ers. Plus all those Bears picks.

  3. [tweet] [/tweet] Can't believe you trade that many picks for a franchise-altering selection and only work him out once.
  4. Lol gotta one up the Bulls crappiness.
  5. Assuming Garrett is gone, my choice is Adams. Hopefully he makes it to 3.

  11. We have a very similar example of a player who didn't get that 7-figure bonus and ended up returning to college just last year. Schmidt's teammate Wil Crowe was pegged to go in the same area last year, had TJS around the same time and tumbled to day 3. Crowe didn't get enough bonus money, returned for his RS junior year and his stock has rebounded to around pre-injury levels.. Obviously each player's level of interest in turning pro is different but Schmidt (like Crowe) isn't an Tommy John-ed potential top 10 pick like Hoffman/Fedde/Giolito/Cease/Quantrill so teams might be more hesitant to pony up.
  12. They did lose Reyes for the season in spring.
  13. That's a shame. He came back this year throwing 1.2mph harder than he's ever thrown and his peripherals were looking like 2013 Miller was back. Shelby is getting the dreaded second opinion. Also, King Felix: [tweet] [/tweet]
  14. I think the Cardinals got jealous of how bad the Pirates' defense has been lately.

  16. Coghlan with an incredible play to score. Ball beat him to the plate and he just jumped over Molina to score. [tweet] [/tweet] [tweet] [/tweet]
  17. I would gladly take Schmidt in the 2nd round. Wouldn't risk 27 or 30, though. Two-way player Brendan McKay, who is a likely top 5 pick, hit 4 HRs today for Louisville. Sounds like more teams prefer him as a pitcher.
  18. Is Gonzalez hurt or is he playing the OF? Looks like LF. Joc is hurt.
  19. Also, in 28 ABs, Chase Utley is hitting .036 on the season. With an OPS of .136.
  20. He started there on Friday too against the Angels. Committed a really bad error in the bottom of the 13th as the Blue Jays nearly blew a 3-run extra inning lead.

  22. I always think of Brian McNichol when I think of a tall lefty who went through the Cubs system.
