  1. No, it's not. And neither is Uehara. FFS. Lol. You'd think a World Series would cure his irrationality.
  2. Love how much Kerry hates Joe West: [tweet] [/tweet]
  3. Yeah. The only thing I can think of, and it's a stretch, is that he wants Javy's tagging ability to help limit the running game even more. The Pirates do seem like a team with enough speed to try to take advantage of Lester. Yeah, they were running the first two games of the series too.
  4. Did he forget to sing "No Cubs No"? Good luck making it to the WC game and getting that one extra game this year.

  6. 2 cheapies for the Pirates. Cubs need to get some of their own.
  7. Carlos Martinez' final line: 5.2 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 8 BB, 11 K, 118-71 pitches strikes. So he threw 47 balls, 32 of them were on walks and he scattered 15 to the rest of the guys he faced. That is very strange. Second time in three starts with 115 or more pitches this season per Keith Law. What is Matheny doing?

  9. Per Arguello, Albertos threw his first live BP of the year. My hope is he can get to Eugene by the start of their season but that might be too aggressive given his age and prior injury history.
  10. And you jinxed it. Now that I know that I have these powers, I'm going to wait until the NLCS to use them again.

  12. Dylan Covey is making his big league debut today for the White Sox. No one else cares but he works out at my gym in the offseason. He also went to Kris Bryant's wedding since they were college teammates and showed me pics when he found out I was a Cubs fan.
  13. Iowa has a run but is being no-hit through 8. ETA: Iowa ended up getting no-hit.
  14. Speaking of the Cardinals ability to find and develop LA arms, Carlos Martinez initially signed with Theo and the Red Sox. He had his contract voided because he lied about his name and age. Ended up getting a velocity gain while suspended and turned that into a big bonus from the Cardinals. There's some luck involved in all of this.

  16. FFS, Freese should've been called out strikes like 8 pitches ago.
  17. Updated with 2016-17 info plus the bonuses for Jose Paulino ($140,000) and Wladimir Galindo ($50,000), which I stumbled on recently.
