  1. The [expletive] are going to kill Mizzou.
  2. I dont think it will be as bad as last years game, but I dont think it will be close either. It all depends on whether or not Texas can take advantage of USC up the middle. USC has really improved up the middle - at least at LB. They're still young, but they really have gotten better. The defense is really going to be filthy next year.
  3. He should be back this year from the shoulder injuries. He spent most of last year recovering from surgery and rehabing. We'll see if he can get back to his 2003 playing level.
  4. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2255829 C'mon Pom Pom Pete. You know you want to go back to the pros!
  5. Hill, Ryu, Valdes, Pignatiello, non-roster guy. Brownlie and Koronka in the AAA pen. Guzman, Marmol and Marshall starting at AA. All 3 could be promoted rather quickly to AAA. I think the most likely of those 3 to start at AAA is Marmol - the Cubs promoted him aggressively last year and might continue to do so. I think he could use some more time at AA, though.
  6. Thome was traded to the White Sox last month.
  7. Are you really from Houston? Eww, heck no.
  8. Hopefully the Cubs will lure Darren Oliver back out of retirement again.
  9. Odd since Corey's strong work ethic has been mentioned often by many people in the system. Just because someone works hard at improving doesn't mean he will.
  10. He did miss most of September with the injury and was sitting on the bench a bit when he was in the big leagues.
  11. I have no problem with 2-loss OSU playing in a BCS game when their 2 losses are to Penn State and Texas. But while ND lost to USC, they also lost a Michigan State team that didn't qualify for a bowl game.
  12. The thing about Murton that suprised me was how man ground ball IF hits he had in the minors and majors.
  13. WF22, Joel Guzman is right now playing SS/3B, but he'll eventually end up in RF (especially with Furcal and Izturis at SS and LaRoche more capable than Guzman at 3B). Guzman has been very inconsistent at the plate and his plate discipline is not that good. I'd rather have Carlos Quentin - I don't care that he's not a lefty. And the DBacks do have Luis Gonzalez, Shawn Green and Chad Tracy in the OF already while Quentin is ready, so technically he could be available (though Arizona probably wants to trade Green or Gonzo instead). He's a year away (and right now playing CF, but he'll probably end up in RF), but Baltimore's Nick Markakis is another intriguing minor league OF.
  14. The O's owner is pretty tricky so I'd watch out for the bait and switch...the Cubs might just end up with Gibbons and a Tejada baseball card. Still an upgrade over Neifi. And if it's a hologram Tejada card, TLR better watch out!
  15. I hope Texas wins 356429564956245629456295629642956 bajillion to 0. Run up the score on those bastards.
  16. Average low 90s FB, good slider. His ceiling is probably a 4-5 starter, but he's just too far away from that now and I doubt he can stick as a reliever. I'm a fan of his.
  17. But Alfonso is a superstar (too bad goony isn't in this league).
  18. Hrm, I'd rather have Mazzone and not have Ortiz or Marquis.
  19. Wow, this thread is awesome (outside of the fact the Cardinals aren't overpaying for the overrated bearded man).
  20. Colorado used to be part of Mexico. :)
  21. Or just hit ctrl + Is that the keyboard shortcut? I was too lazy to experiment to figure it out. Yes, it is. And ctrl - fixes things back.
  22. I had grown to really like Mateo last year - it's a good thing that he'll probably be returned.
  23. Hey, that's my pick! Get your own.... I bet you haven't partied with him. :P Oh....I don't want another Kyle Farnsworth, you can have him. :) Haha, awesome. Let's just say you don't want Leinart then. EDIT: Don't forget Orton. Seriously, I think he'll be gone between 14-18 in the draft. If the Bears draft a TE it'll have to be like Pope from UGA or that one from Maryland. I think Davis's (the one from Maryland) stock will rise big time come combine time. I expect Davis to push Marcedes for first TE taken.
