  1. Someone hasn't watched Pom Pom Pete coach before. That certainly was embarassing. If Bob Toledo's struggles against USC were enough to get him fired, why can't Karl Dorrell's struggles against USC be enough to get him fired? :(
  2. Is Colorado really this bad of a team? I haven't seen them play this year, but this is a debacle. From the Colorado fans I've heard talk, they are that bad. Texas is definitely in a different class then Colorado athletically. I'd pick Texas over USC right now.
  3. Overheard on the news yesterday: Both USC and UCLA students have one similarity: they were both accepted into USC. :D On that note, I'm off to my friend's place to watch the game. Go Bruins!!! Hopefully the refs don't screw us over this year too.
  4. What's your problem with their NBA coverage? I for one like that they show exclusively games involving Miami, San Antonio, Phoenix, Detroit, Denver, or the LA Lakers. They can show all the Lakers highlights they want, I love watching the Lakers when they suck.
  5. Come on, man....I'm eating here. Apparently you eat many meals.
  6. LenDale White, who was carted off a USC practice field on Sunday with a shoulder injury was cleared to play against UCLA (with a bruised shoulder). UCLA's center, Mike McCloskey and best run-stopping LB Justin London - both of whom had missed both Arizona games - have returned from injury and will play against USC.
  7. Sorry, that was the old Pete Gammons statement for what the future Cubs IF would be.
  8. I agree, there's no reason ND should decline their invite. They've had a great season and it's not like they aren't deserving. Even if they did decline, it wouldn't help bring change.
  9. Not Goony, but I'll answer the last part: in terms of the SL and PCL, AA is harder for a hitter. The PCL is littered with hitter's parks at higher elevations. But the pitchers are smarter at AAA too - they know how to change speeds and locations better than their AA counterparts - so it's still a good test.
  10. Kelton? You surely mean Texeira.

  12. If USC loses, it seems more than like UCLA is headed to the Holiday Bowl and not a BCS game. Seems like a hefty price for being blown out by Arizona.
  13. The pitchers in the minors have worse control, which should make taking more pitches easier. Hopefully the eye has improved once you graduate to the big leagues.
  14. Ceiling and potential plus his success in Mesa. BA will rank anyone who has signed with the organization.
  15. http://www.baseballamerica.com/online/features/05top10s/cubs.html 1. Felix Pie 2. Mark Pawelek 3. Ronnie Cedeno 4. Angel Guzman 5. Rich Hill 6. Sean Marshall 7. Ricky Nolasco 8. Ryan Harvey 9. Brian Dopirak 10. Eric Patterson Results will be tabulated in a bit...
  16. Here is BA's top 10. Chat tomorrow. 1. Felix Pie 2. Mark Pawelek 3. Ronnie Cedeno 4. Angel Guzman 5. Rich Hill 6. Sean Marshall 7. Ricky Nolasco 8. Ryan Harvey 9. Brian Dopirak 10. Eric Patterson
  17. Still very high on Guzman, Tim?
  18. I hear there's some sort of football game going on next Saturday at the LA Coliseum. Might even be an important one.
  19. How would UCLA get screwed. They would win the PAC-10 and get an automatic berth, right? I'm still unclear on this. I thought I read that USC could lose and still win the PAC-10 If UCLA defeats USC, there would be a 3-way tie for first place (Oregon, USC, UCLA). Then they'd go to losses against common opponents - losing to a worse team is worse. Obviously, UCLA will be eliminated there. Obviously it's their fault for losing to a bad Arizona team. But that 1 loss has more than likely eliminated UCLA from a BCS game, which I think is a screw job.
  20. The pass rush died on the TD-drive and the missed-FG-drive, exposing Chris Harris and Charles Tillman. Thank goodness Bryant missed that one. FREE GROSSMAN!
  21. Ugh, huge missed tackle by Mike Brown.
  22. Thank you for that, Ryan Nece. You were very good at that at UCLA too.
