I wonder how limited they are on the allotment of bleacher season tickets anyway. I read somewhere yesterday that the overall STH base is about 10k.

I'm in the very front 200s and I struggled to get back face (after fees) for most of the first half of the season. In the second half it picked up and I was profiting nicely on weekend games, at least. Weeknights were still nothing to write home about. Nevermind that the seats are basically the same as the back field boxes. People just don't realize it.

We can give him a standing O right before we beat them by 5 runs. Also we can give him his ring with a whole nice pregame ceremony when the Cardinals come to Wrigley, which would be a nice bonus. (I'd still rather he go elsewhere...just saying).

Yeah, after fees I'm guessing I was around 20% profit on the regular season games I sold on StubHub, and that doesn't factor in the early season games that I sold at or slightly below face value outside of StubHub. I'm certainly not complaining. I went to a bunch of regular season games, 2 NLCS, and a World Series game, and still came out ahead for the year, but there's no way I could come close to 96% above face for the regular season. I'm skeptical too, but it's not about how much you got...it's about how much buyers paid.

not to say anything of harper, but pretty much nothing is going to be potentially crippling to the cubs financially anywhere in the near or long term. Every team has its limits they're pretty much non existent when you have as much surplus value as they cubs do (though they're going to have to pay up for pitching) tied up in cost controlled players, a huge windfall in TV money coming when the team is the most popular it's ever been, and the cherry on top of a sellout everyday at the league's highest ticket prices.

Zobrist and Schwarber might literally be full time players, or close to it, there (well, Schwarber maybe just the heavy side of a platoon)...where's the pretending? 3/5 of the starting IF are on that list Did you watch the Cubs this year? Sure, with perfect health or close to it, things will change and there will probably be less jumping around...I hope we're lucky enough to have perfect health.

I doubt Contreras sees much OF time at all. Same from Bryant moving forward, at least for a few more years. Depending on health, I could see Bryant getting OF time moreso than I can see Contreras there. I think Contreras is the #1 catcher by a good margin.

That we have to pretend those guys are OFs to juice the numbers only indicates to me further that the OF is not where the Cubs are deepest.
