  1. Maybe after the additional StubHub fees were figured in (for the buyer)? I don't personally believe it, but it might just be my section. I heard others talk about profiting well on every game.
  2. He'll be worth it or come damn near close and probably have an opt out around age 31 season He was worth almost twice as much in 2015, haha. About 70% as much in a down year in 2016.
  3. Not a surprise, but damn [tweet] [/tweet]

  6. Injury concerns? Acquisition cost concerns? Or both? Also, going after Duffy, Davis, and Cain is savvy. I'd suspect it'd probably cost a lot, but I like that idea. He's fine. Just that his peripherals are nothing to write home about. I was on this soapbox the last time his name came up during the season.

  8. I would have loved it if Prior could've pulled something like this off in his many comeback attempts. :(
  9. How low does that number get if you don't even count 2016?
  10. horsefeathers it, get Cain too.
  11. [tweet] [/tweet] I'm not a huge fan...but whatever. Meh.
  12. Don't think this makes any difference there. This contract isn't much of a surprise, and what they're gonna get vs. what he got was already very far apart.
  13. [tweet] [/tweet] [tweet]https://twitter.com/TBrownYahoo/status/805835090316161024[/tweet] Good for him. What a story.
  14. I think the guy who started this thread did.

  17. It's not like the actual CBA has been written out yet anyway. Just agreement on the parameters. Still plenty of nuance that can be worked in.

  19. Hopefully it's something worse than violating dress code.
  20. Yep. And at least we have Goldman from 2015. On the other hand, if White can even manage to find any role in a WR rotation at this point, I'll consider it a success. Oh well. And I agree on Hall. I like him.

  22. The Cubs have reached the status now where players should be willing to go all Heyward and take less to play for us.....right? Meh...the 108 year thing is gone. There's the whole "join a really good team in a fun city" aspect to it but I don't know if that plays as well. I know Theo and Jed made a point of how big of a deal the drought was to FA's, but who really knows how much that really meant numerically..maybe a mil or two AAV on a multi year deal.
  23. what? why would they feign a fight to keep him out?
  24. Don't forget not having Chapman in the final out photos.
