  1. Unless he actually physically can't play, there aren't 32 teams who Jay Cutler couldn't start for.
  2. My feelings on Fangio is he would have to be doing a much better job and/or be much younger, for me to worry about losing him in any coaching change situation. Since going to the Fox/Fangio set up, the Bears have prioritized defense, acquiring 7,000 linebackers, as well as 5 of their first 6 picks last year were defense. And all we have to show for it is the defense looks competent most of the time. I say you fire Fox and then figure out Fangio's future after you hire the next HC. If he stays, he stays, and if he goes he goes. So be it. But it's not like this guy is working miracles over here and can't be replaced. works for me, as long as they don't hire a 4-3 guy to DC or something after spending 2 years gearing the roster toward a 3-4. do we have any idea as to who the bigger HC candidates this offseason are going to be?
  3. Keeping Pace is almost a must, considering the dangers of falling into the massive overhaul every 2 years. I can't imagine the coaching staff surviving intact, and there has to be a good chance that Fox is part of that change. I think with as poorly as this season has gone, the most obvious choice is for Pace to get his one head coach mulligan. Let him make that change and theoretically build the staff he wants, without the tumult of his first year on the job. That gives him 2 more years and if he can't figure out how to make this team respectable by then, there's no excuse from there. Pace has been disappointing, but he's been competent. Fox has been a disaster and he's old so might as well move on. All in all, I am pretty pleased with this year's draft. Whitehair, Howard, and Floyd all look like starters, and I think I like Deiondre Hall too. I have White written off as a complete bust, but at least, as UM mentioned, Goldman came out of that draft too. They've done well in FA, too. Fox seems completely incompetent at game management, and his supposed strength outside of that is nowhere to be found. He also is an ass bag. I just wish we could keep continuity on defense with Fangio without looking incompetent by forcing him on another HC, or making him an HC, which I don't think he's qualified for (nor do I want another defensive guy). Ugh.
  4. Ouch. With the way he plays and relies on mobility and throwing at weird angles, that may be essentially a career ender for him. FWIW it sounds like he played through it on Sunday and he made a few very strong throws on that final drive. Not that that necessarily says anything about the long term impact of the injury.
  5. Damn, that was a sick sick burn. He got you.
  6. [tweet] [/tweet]
  7. [tweet] [/tweet] i know we're not gonna give up on rondo just yet but this team could really use a pg who can guard a little and hit a 3 when left open.
  8. god damn do i wish they hadn't blown that game last night against the clippers. still a very good trip so far.
  9. Any updates on Floyd? Very scary.
  10. damn we had that blown up
  11. the reaction on twitter when barth missed the extra point followed by gould missing one was pretty funny
  12. cubs just win championships
  13. happ with another dong
  14. Last night they weren't very fun (even though they won), but they've been pretty fun to watch overall. You should watch.
  15. i would be so happy if we just got a competent 3+ war heyward next year
  16. Through 12 games, Bulls are solidly 4th in the league in point differential. They're 10th in Hollinger's offensive efficiency, 9th in defensive efficiency. Only the Clippers and Spurs are also top ten in both. Also one of the very best rebounding teams in the league.
  17. And this is why I don't want to trade Soler.
  18. unbelievable how he has blown ridiculously high expectations out of the water the fact that he figured out how to be a good defender and then was like "i wanna do it at multiple positions oh yeah im a godlike baserunner lol" is unfair and when it looked like he might get figured out by big league pitching, he's like LOL NOPE, makes an adjustment and cuts his strikeouts lower than they even were in the minors while losing nothing offensively
  19. unbelievable how he has blown ridiculously high expectations out of the water
  20. except toews is so boring and dull that bryant might as well be rizzo next to him
