  1. Why the FLSDKJFLSD:KJF:LSDJF didn't they just pitch to Beltran? Worst case, you give up a 3 run homer and still have a one run lead. Worst case. Instead, you set up all that crap with the bases loaded.
  2. Dempster is such FREAKING garbage. Forget this freaking joke of a team.
  3. Who's number is this? Mine. Just trying to gauge what people think they'll do. I assumed most think they'll make it out of the 1st, and win a few against Detroit. This is where we're at right now. A win tonight puts us at the over.
  4. I think it has to do with the Palace being occupied on Sunday. IIRC, there's a WNBA game scheduled. Gee, what should take priority?? EDIT - Concert Sunday, WNBA Saturday
  5. I checked out sum of her pics..She dosen't look that good in most of them..That one on the avatar looks really good. The rest are ehh how are you able to view them, the page I saw was set to private...but then again I'm not that computer savvy I just put her name in the yahoo search engine and clicked on IMAGES, and pics of her all over the web will show up Who uses Yahoo anymore??
  6. go to her myspace page... then you'll find out that she's not nearly as attractive as she looks in his avatar I dunno about all that. She still looks pretty good in all of them outside of one or two. Anyone can have a bad picture.
  7. And what I'm saying is the "get him over" aspect is vastly overrated and doesn't compare in importance to getting them on. In what world is getting runners over, or in other words moving them around the basepaths, vastly overrated? This funny thing is that this question almost sounds like sarcasm to me, even though I know it's not.
  8. Jones career OPS bases empty: 766 Runners on: 814 RISP: 835 RISP 2 outs: 840 Jeter career OPS runners on: 856 Runners on: 848 RISP: 844 RISP 2 outs: 863 Better check back with Tim McCarver as to how to deal with this. My guess is it involves something to do with a needless dive into the stands. I absolutely LOVE it.
  9. I love how people want to say the Cubs have been terrible at hitting with RISP despite the fact that they've actually been one of the best in this luck-based statistic.
  10. The Sun-Times is reporting that Soriano's move from the leadoff spot might not be a temporary thing. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/baseball/cubs/387216,CST-SPT-csep16.article
  11. I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but if the Bulls win this game, they just have to win 2 before Detroit wins 1. Doesn't sound that crazy, does it?
  12. I was about to make a post like that. I don't care a whole lot about lineup construction, but that just looks a lot nicer (at least while Theriot is hot).
  13. I can't ask for much more than for them to win game 5. If they do, they get a chance to tie the series up at home, and anything can happen in game 7 (plus the pressure would be insanely intense on the Pistons), like you said. Win game 5 and I'm as satisfied as I can be, anything after that is gravy.
  14. Yes, and I understand he visits Goodall on Wednesday, where the smart money says he will receive an 8 game suspension. I hope Dvoracek is ready to step in. Is this based on something factual, or is it just speculation?
  15. It really, really sucks that we blew that game 3 lead now. Really.
  16. Well, he did go 2-3 with a homer yesterday. In other words, it already struck. And you know what they say about lightning.
  17. I'm gonna look like an idiot for asking but... ...makeup game with Houston? EDIT - Nevermind. Totally forgot about that first series and the snow.
  18. Being a Machine Operator for 30k a year is a job. Being a professsional baseball player....and being paid millions of dollars to do so....is a GIFT! Don't delude yourself. If he "only" makes 5 million.....its enough to last a lifetime....and its not something to "worry" about. He's going to make a whole lot more than that....regardless of his performance. I dont begrudge his ability to do so...more power to him.....but to try to insinuate that he's not performing well because of the stress of not knowing how big his pile of money will be is ridiculous. This is frequently brought up by fans....and it's always ridiculous. No, your ability to put things in other perspectives is what's ridiculous.
  19. Being a Machine Operator for 30k a year is a job. Being a professsional baseball player....and being paid millions of dollars to do so....is a GIFT! Don't delude yourself. It's all relative. To a large percentage of the world's population, making 30k US is an outrageously luxurious salary. Try going to India or China some time and complaining that you're trying to make ends meet at $30k US a year. You know, there was time not so long ago when even upper middle class American families only owned ONE television set, ONE family car and siblings actually had to share bedrooms? Before things were massed produced and made cheap , worrying about putting "food on the table" wasn't just a figure of speech. People actually worried about putting food on the table. They couldn't just drive up to the McDonald's Value Menu and order 4,000 calories with the change they find between their seat cushions. So given how good the average American family has it to the rest of the world, and even previous generations of Americans, I guess they can no longer stress or worry about money? If you don't think money isn't a major influence on almost everyone's lives, you have an amazing lack of knowledge about the human condition. Great post.
  20. Why would goony get banned, anyway?
