  1. A lot of mock drafts have Talib going to the Packers in the late 1st round, so I'm interested in seeing how he performs. So far, so good. I can't understand the hype around him. He constantly gets burned and is a poor tackler, or at least he has been in the games against Mizzou. He takes a few gambles and gets picks like he did in this game, but I think he's way overrated, and I'm not just saying it because hes a jayhawk. Yeah, the two times I saw Talib live I was really underwhelmed. And are you kidding me Glennon?
  2. I'd like to see Marmol given a shot to earn a spot if the alternatives are Dempster, Hart, Gallagher, etc.
  3. For a while there, Hendry was on the same plan. Not to the level that St. Louis has in the last 2 years.
  4. It's altogether sad and entertaining that the Cardinals have made reclamation projects their preferred way of acquiring players.
  5. These things are not mutually exclusive, in fact, they're closer to being correlated. 6 of the top 10 players in K's last year had OBP's above .385.
  6. A couple miscellaneous points. Renteria is two years older than Roberts, that's a big deal when you're trading for a 31 year old v. a 29 year old. Renteria is 10M this year with a 11M club option for '09, Roberts is 6.3M this year, 8M next year with free agency in '10. Regardless of Mitre, Nolasco, and Pinto's performance after the trade, they had significantly more value than Pierre when the deal was made. It was an epically bad deal.
  7. Rivalry game + Injured Pat White Whoever #5 for Oklahoma is just got clowned by Reynaud on that run.
  8. The only thing I can figure is that the referees that could have seen that were screened.
  9. Not sure about defensively, but they bring back White, Devine, Reynaud, the entire offensive line, and maybe Slaton. That's enough to be pretty good. They lose, if I'm not mistaken 7 defensive starters, Schmitt, and I am pretty sure Reynuad is a senior also. Reynaud is a senior, ESPN lied to me. 7 defensive starters is rough though, how they replace that could be the difference from them becoming the new Louisville.

  11. Sorry, Dude, I had to. I have no allegiance to either team, but it was there. I don't have a problem with losing to a team like OU twice, especially when neither game was at home. It'd be nice if they'd stop playing like idiots in the bowl season though. 1-4 in bowls the last 5 years would be embarrassing.
  12. OU is making it an annual tradition of humiliating the Big 12 in their Bowl Game.
  13. Who is this guy doing PBP for the Fiesta Bowl? It's like he's listening to the game on the radio and then doing TV PBP for it.
  14. Maybe it's just me, but I can fit a "haha Illinois" in there too.
  15. Today has been a very satisfying football day.
  16. Even on a black and white television - you're not missing anything. What would you prefer? A rainbow? Maybe make it out of the same stuff as those mood rings so you can get the ball to the happiest player. Seriously, their colors are Navy Blue and White, what are you looking for?
  17. haha, wow are the Patriots good
  18. One has to wonder how players like Morelli and McGee become starting quarterbacks for power conference teams.
  19. go SEC opponents go
  20. I freakin hate Ira Newble, his contract can't end soon enough. He's like Neifi Perez with a long term contract.
  21. They aren't the same benefit. You get the 1st(which was only a yard) and the game is over, you kick the FG and you just make it really hard for them to win.
  22. Brian Hoyer looks like he's never thrown a football before. Wow is he a bad quarterback.
  23. I'd be interested in the rationale that Texas is better than Mizzou. In related news, there's been allegations that Darren McFadden received a Cadillac for his mom from an Arkansas booster. He could be ineligible for the Cotton Bowl if they turn out to be true. http://www.nwaonline.net/articles/2007/12/28/razorback_central/122807mcfadden.txt
