If we are emptying the farm, meaning Vitters and Castro getting traded, Hendry might as well include Jackson, Carpenter or Cashner and try to get Verlander involved. Pass. Verlander is decent, but he's not worth emptying the farm over. He's been a 3-4 win player his whole career and put up an 8.2 WAR this year.

Granderson's more valuable than he's been given credit for in this thread, but I can't get over how useless he is against LHP. I mean, if he were even merely a bad hitter against LHP that'd be one thing, but he's just nightmarishly terrible. I'd want someone who isn't so easily neutralized if we're giving up a big package(which is what it would take, and what Detroit should rightfully ask for in exchange for Granderson).
