  1. A Fontenot/Baker platoon blows away DeRosa. EDIT: 3/15 is a really, really, really bad deal to give to Grabow(who is not good), and I don't think the Rays will be too keen on giving up Zobrist for Marmol.
  2. I thought he was a two fastball guy, with a 4 seamer that pushed 98 in relief and the splitter that sits around 90. Not sure though.
  3. David Dellucci too
  4. I got offered Collins and Boldin for Mendenhall and Sanchez. I have to start 2 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, and one flex, and I have Cutler Brady Sanchez C. Johnson Rice L. Johnson Mendenhall Colston Maclin B. Johnson Morgan Ginn A. Gonzalez Worthwhile deal?
  5. I don't know if I'd trade away Lilly if Harden isn't back. i'd give Marmol one more season before I think about moving him. After what he did in 2008, I can't just give up on him that quickly. Lee I'd trade as an impact 1B bat wouldn't be that hard to find or acquire. Also with your OF trade targets, I assume you move Bradley or Fukudome to make room for one of them? Lilly would obviously be contingent on other moves, like Harden. Marmol I want to trade because his elbow is going to explode, not because of poor performance. The OFs could be to replace Bradley, but not necessarily. If Baldelli or Crisp aren't commanding anything, then they're useful bench options(although Fuld and Crisp are pretty similar). To put some actual numbers on things, bring back Harden for 2/25 - 9/13/15(Option w/ 3M buyout). And let's go crazy, Bradley, Wells, Baker for Gordon and Cruz and then Theriot, Marmol, Cashner for Reyes. Fox for Jesse Crain. Z/Lilly/Harden/Dempster/Marshelanny - Cruz/Crain/Guzman/Gaub/Marshelanny, with Stevens/Caridad/Parker/Hart fighting for the other 2 spots Fukudome (Reyes when healthy) Fuld/Johnson (8th with Reyes healthy) Lee Ramirez Gordon Soriano Soto Blanco Hill, Fontenot, Fuld/Johnson, Baldelli/Kearns/Hoffpauir/Colvin, Blanco/Barney More top heavy, but I think it positions them better to transition from the Lee/Ramirez/Soriano offensive core.
  6. Yeah, it's so bad I guessed Kevin Foster without a hint of irony.
  7. 120/180. I could not for the life of me remember the RF or SS in '06-'07. I was hoping to get from 2003 on, and those 4 blanks drove me insane.
  8. It's pretty rare for a HS kicker to make a 45+ yard field goal. Those guys were there to protect the goal line in case of a fake or broken play. The problem was they weren't instructed to leave the ball alone. I'm also not sure if it matters if that guy's knee was down, because he's the holder and he never moved from that initial position. Not sure what the rule is exactly though.
  9. Okay IE, you've eaten long and short versions of this post. Stupid work computer. Short version redux: -Offer Harden arbitration, try to bring him back for 2-3 years -Tell Heilman to get lost. Tell Miles he's a participant in the Most Dangerous Game -Don't offer Gregg or Grabow arbitration, but consider Grabow if market for him heats up Trade targets: Alex Gordon BJ Upton Carl Crawford Jose Reyes Hermida(secondary to the above, also non-tender candidate) RELIEVERS - focus on those coming off down years, good stuff, low HR rates, arby eligible/too expensive for current team (e.g. Crain, Balfour, Capps, Rafael Perez, Juan Cruz Think about trading away: Lilly, Theriot, MARMOL, Lee(least likely) Free Agents that could be undervalued: Scutaro (Type A scare people away?), N. Johnson, Zaun, Baldelli, Cameron, Crisp, M. Gonzalez, R. Soriano, C.E. Valverde Add as much talent as you can, priority to the trade targets. Those are the best bet for large jumps in performance that will take the team from wildcard/division contender, to 90+ win HFA contender.
  10. http://www.mrn8.com/pics/albums/userpics/thumb_Chicago-Cubs-Logo-2.gif Win IT'S FUNNY, BECAUSE THEY'RE THE CUBS AND THEY DON'T WIN
  11. That was against St Louis in extra innings. (In STL) Not that I doubt you, but do you remember which game it was? All I remember is still up relatively late watching the game, which I believe went into extras. It was July 24th, 2005. http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/SLN/SLN200507240.shtml Yep, I was at that one. I still can't believe it happened.
  12. The Cubs finished the season without Bradley 8-6, and were losing a rained out game by several runs when it was canceled. If they had played that well throughout the whole season, they would've finished exactly where they did, 2nd in the division and 5th in the wild card race.
  13. Who was that with the hesitation move and shot? That was a nice strike.
  14. ahahahahaha, Casey again!!!
  15. HOW THE F IS THAT NOT A FOUL HE COULDN'T HAVE GOTTEN THE BALL BECAUSE HE DRIBBLED IT FORWARD BEFORE THE TACKLE GOT THERE
  16. brb changing screenname to ConnorCaseysDome
  17. So you're new to Cody Hawkins then. Watch him go 22-27 for 337 yards and 4 TDs against KU next week. Yeah, but 4 of those incompletions will be interceptions and he'll fumble the ball away twice.
  18. They kept talking about how the replays showed that it was the right call, but it wasn't until the very last one that it looked pretty clear it grazed the ground after he snagged it again. Tough call, but I'm pretty sure he got it right.
  19. So you're new to Cody Hawkins then.
  20. I turn on the Texas/Colorado game to see Hawkins air mail two passes and then a blocked punt for a TD. There's the Colorado I know.
  21. i have no idea what has happened to him. he's playing like he's afraid to throw the ball. Yeah, he's totally fallen apart this season. I don't think he was ever all that good. My intution about Ole Miss from before the season seems to be about right. I was wrong about Wisconsin though, they've really put those close early games behind them.
  22. ISU makes an extra point, the apocalypse is nigh
  23. Why are they using the view from the blimp every play for this kansas/Iowa St game
  24. Grienk is a FA after 2012 King Felix's contract was purchased in 2005 and he officially has 3.060 years of ML service, so he is probably a FA around 2012/13 Lincecum's contract was purchased in 2007 and has 1.148 years of ML service so he won't be a FA until 2014/15 or so. Those service time numbers are before this season. Felix will be a FA after 2011, Lincecum after 2013.
