  1. Are those the only ones that made it over 40 possessions? Good call, when Bruce has had talent, we've struggled on offense. See 04-05 for proof. Calm down, I remember all those Augustine moving screens as well as anyone, I can still sarcastically call it boring big 10 basketball though.
  2. Lake had like an 8/1 K/BB ratio. I know he was young for Peoria, but still, 8 to 1. And he still only slugged .365.

  4. YESYESYESYES It may be more hope than actual speculation, but I've heard Mitchell and Pressey on board make us players for Beal next year. Back the [expletive] off. Seems fair to me. You can keep that goofy looking Griffey dude, and we'll take the guard who wants to run up and down the floor.

  6. $14 million for the Big East if Pitt makes a BCS bowl. Don't embarrass yourself like this.
  7. Pick 6 now for TCU, they really want that shot at the title game.
  8. haha, wow that's a horrendous block in the back call on the INT. Big break for Iowa. And it doesn't matter.
  9. If we are emptying the farm, meaning Vitters and Castro getting traded, Hendry might as well include Jackson, Carpenter or Cashner and try to get Verlander involved. Pass. Verlander is decent, but he's not worth emptying the farm over. He's been a 3-4 win player his whole career and put up an 8.2 WAR this year.
  10. If you have an ESPN Alternate channel in your guide, check that.
  11. Seriously, Danario Alexander is ridiculous.
  12. Grant Wahl seems to think that Uruguay winning gives us that 33% shot at being in a pool with South Africa.
  13. I love UZR, but it has problems with first basemen.
  14. Granderson's more valuable than he's been given credit for in this thread, but I can't get over how useless he is against LHP. I mean, if he were even merely a bad hitter against LHP that'd be one thing, but he's just nightmarishly terrible. I'd want someone who isn't so easily neutralized if we're giving up a big package(which is what it would take, and what Detroit should rightfully ask for in exchange for Granderson).
  15. Smart organizations don't have to choose.
  16. Must be the black on black jerseys.
  17. Castro is nearly a decade younger than Granderson. Think about that for a second.
  18. Difference being Cameron put up those offensive numbers in CF, and he's 2 wins better defensively.
  19. Every team's fans like their own players more than everyone else, but OH is special in how insulted they are that people would feel differently. And SSR is kidding, the Reds aren't good and they aren't going anywhere soon.
  20. Jackson isn't really a better option than Marshall or Gorzelanny.
  21. Each team will wear them for one game in November, I believe they're trying to make sure that each game is against a school that is not also a Nike team(I think the exception is UF-FSU). For Mizzou, this means those jerseys come out at Arrowhead
  22. Yeah, I want to see the helmet and some better shots of them before reserving judgment. They probably won't blow me away, but at least there's nothing hideous like the numbers on that Miami jersey.
  23. And Castro taking BP before said Rising Stars game.
  24. Even with the poor defense, Castillo was worth his contract last year. On his defense, his ErrR didn't change much at all over the last several years, but his range went in the tank as soon as he became a Met. I wonder if there's some externality behind some of that steep regression. The problem with platooning him is that he is a switch hitter with a big contract, so Lou will probably want to send him out there every day. There's also the matter that he doesn't have much of a consistent platoon split, so you may not even be maximizing his value by platooning him with Baker. I don't know how I feel about this, at this point in the offseason I feel like we could do better for Bradley.
