Just to be consistent, La Stella probably didn't deserve a HR for that either, although at least he was hitting a center cut fastball. The side angle showed that he didn't even perfectly square it up and it went 400+ feet to CF/RCF. Dumb.
that pitch has zero business being hit 400 feet with that swing, the juiced ball is basically making a mockery of the league, it's basically home run roulette to see who wins if you need me I'll be in the angrydome
Russell, Lester, and Contreras are injured, now's our chance! [Cubs insert Baez, Montgomery, and Avila, all better than first choice Brewers at their position]
I didn't realize that Short was playing 100% SS at Myrtle Beach. That's really nice to see considering I had him pegged as a non-factor there when he was equally splitting time across 3B/SS/2B at Low A. Also good to see the batting average tick up at High-A, all the contact and elevation doesn't do you much good if you can't get enough hits in A-ball.
i may be completely wrong but i think the price came down considerably and was insane at first, which was my main issue with it. When the list price was higher it was also really easy to find discounts. If I had to guess I'd say that eventually the price increases since they're subsidized by VCs, but the exact equilibrium is hard to tell.
Rosenthal going to The Athletic: https://theathletic.com/86701/2017/08/23/ken-rosenthal-why-im-joining-the-athletic/ He'll still have TV/Video stuff with MLBN/FoxSports, but his articles will be on The Athletic.
I'd say Tseng is higher than Underwood for me and its not that close. Underwood needs a longer stretch for me to invest again. Production vs potential... Me, I'll take Underwood's potential all day long. Tseng could be Hendricks Jr., but Hendricks is an outlier. Saying that, a month ago I had Undrwood off the 40-man. But, he's got ace stuff... That's who I'd gamble on. I have some iron pyrite jewelry that I'd like to sell you.
