  1. Troy Glaus started at shortstop tonight for the Blue Jays. Box He fielded 2 groundballs and a popup without an error before moving to 3rd later in the game.
  2. And you wonder why people call you a troll.
  3. Seriously, what nonsense by Venezuela.
  4. What is this, attempt to hammer other players out of bitterness because you're not going to Germany?
  5. Classy play by Venezuela.
  6. My team name is better than yours.
  7. YOU PEOPLE AREN'T LISTENING NO ONE ELSE CAN HAVE HIM NEVER EVER
  8. http://www.aversion.com/bands/kneejerk/images/rev115.gif
  9. And what's Jacque's OPS against lefties again? Also, why is Theriot on the big club? Gotta love how this team is run. Womack is apparently en route to relieve Theriot of his splintering.
  10. Holy take everything Literally, (and 31-32+9 is 40-41, not 42  ). 2005- 202 2004- 188 2003- 156 (hurt) 2002- 191 2001- 191 2000- 201 1999- 219 1998- 203 1997- 190 1996- 183 This is 2006, 9 full seasons after this one will be 2016. Jeter was born in 1974. If you were including this season as one then it's 41. Semantical or not, the point remains you're asking Jeter to put up outstanding numbers over a NINE year period of physical decline that he couldn't do in the prime of his career.
  11. Jeter has reached 200 hits once since 2000. There's no way he does that every year going forward until he's 42.
  12. NONE OF YOU CAN HAVE LEBRON
  13. Wilson signed an extension thru '09. Trading for him(especially Cedeno for him) would be an awful idea.
  14. ?? murton, cedeno, hill, guzman, marshall and williams have gotten a chance to play. How about Pie? What?
  15. The young starters have a lot of room to improve. Lee takes 11% of the team's plate appearances at the very most, Prior and Wood could pitch as much as 36% of the team's innings if not more, and improved performance from any of our young players adds even more onto that. EDIT: My bad, bad math on my part, switch the 36% with 28%
  16. Because there's hope for the rotation.
  17. But the Dodgers held on and won the division. Would LoDuca and Roberts have made a difference in '06? Give it a rest Jim. Or are you Bill Plaschke? If that team didn't have the benefit of the lead the old Dodgers team created, they would have missed the playoffs. The second version wasn't a playoff team based on how they played. Record before the trade: 60-43, .583 Record after the trade: 33-26, .560 Number of wins a .583 team gets over 59 games: 34 They were pretty much the same team. Except for the fact that the winning percentage the second version of the team had, spread over the course of a full season, would have put them a game back of S.F. and out of the playoffs. There is almost 4 wins difference between the two...isn't that about the impact Lee has on the Cubs over 4 months or so per that article done here awhile back? That's a significant difference, isn't it? You can't project out for the larger sample and assume its accuracy. And even then, it ignores the fact that the trade impacted about 8-12% of the roster, and ignores the fact that you're reneging on your original claim.
  18. Gallagher seems to have the innate ability to get out of jams.

  20. Wallace is shooting 22% from the FT line in these playoffs. I mean, how can you keep him on the floor if you have a lead at the end of the game? Anyone have more info regarding the Cavs trading Z? Why they would move him, what they want/could expect in return?
  21. And Chris Young, who is about as good a prospect as Pie.
