  1. What got to me was the xbh/k ratio. that's just silly.
  2. I feel Varsho would be like Delta House accepting Flounder because he was legacy.
  3. Unless they fall out of the race quickly I don't see them selling. But at the same time I don't see them adding either. They might take a similar route that we did and just only add someone like Dan Haren. While we will most likely add some pitcher of significant value to our starting rotation. I'm saying the Brewers suck and that they'll be falling out of the race quickly.
  4. The Brewers will still be sellers by the deadline.
  5. I was half-way to crafting a lightning joke when I read this comment. Bummer. You have to be faster than Lance Berkman escaping a thunderstorm to beat Sofa to a joke about Lance Berkman escaping a thunderstorm.
  6. I think you'd have to be really careful if the Braves decide to move him. It would likely mean they feel like something has gone wrong with him.
  7. How much can we trust Levine when he gets the basics of what he's discussing wrong? Nope. Switch that around, Bruce.
  8. well...cubs fan anyway
  9. I feel so conflicted about that.
  10. But, if there aren't many long term guys getting moved(Gray seems like the ONLY one that does to me), do you go after Yelich and Volquez? Or save up for the off season, to try again on whatever pitching is there? If you can for some reason get a bargain price on Ozuna or Yelich, then go for it. But there are going to be teams out there with a much more pressing need at the position than us. They're likely to be willing to pay more as a result. I don't like any of the Marlins pitching. Don't trust Volquez at all.
  11. Yelich would definitely be interesting, but I just can't see us using our assets on hitting instead of pitching.
  12. Hey - I had the chance to watch a game for the first time in a while and they won. I have no idea what everyone is whining about.
  13. So if Dex has a really good series, do we win? He goes, we go.
  14. To be entirely fair - when was the last time you spent all seven days of the week onsite at your job?
  15. At least he kept his K/BB ratio in tact.
  16. Cease is high reward, but he's also very high risk. If he can be viewed as a centerpiece by another team, then we should get much more certain value for him. I obviously would only include any of our high end prospects in the right deals, but I'd much rather part with Cease than someone like Happ or Eloy.
  17. Maybe it's just a lack of at bats against Siegrist.
  18. I'm really hoping Cease can be the centerpiece to a big trade.
  19. He may want to avoid the whole, "pitch to contact" thing
  20. Is it too early to say that Walt jocketty actually sucks?
