  1. Still doesn't feel real. Amazing.
  2. I like this but, having watched the 10th inning/extended highlights countless times, it still makes me way more anxious than anything. What an incredible roller coaster, I still can't believe all that happened. My only regret is I got a little too drunk over the course of the game but it damn near killed me. My memory is spotty of the last hour or so and I remember very little from the aftermath. Although I am pretty sure I was so happy and jubilant that I may have proposed to my then girlfriend, only to break up with her a couple of weeks later. Yikes/oops/lol. Whatever, THE CUBS WON THE WORLD SERIES AND IT WAS AWESOME.
  3. I'm going to miss dex but this is a solid move. Not expecting much more from this offseason, maybe some bullpen tinkering.
  4. Even if fowler goes elsewhere I can't see him signing with the cardinals. He'd be a great fit for them but I don't think he'd enjoy going from the young, fun, good team to the old, unfun, average team. He'll take the money from somewhere else. (Unless of course they offer something crazy like 5/110 but Mozeliak doesn't seem like the type to do that)
  5. Very slick under the radar move. It will ease the blow a bit when Gleyber becomes a star. Well that and winning the World Series in part because of the Gleyber trade. Haha right, I just tend to lump the two major bullpen trades together. I remember the Monty trade happened at the height of the media "how can they not give up Schwarber for Andrew Miller??!" And Theo was like BOOM. But yes, still on a high from the Cubs being World Champs!
  6. Very slick under the radar move. It will ease the blow a bit when Gleyber becomes a star.
  7. I wonder what it will take to keep arrieta.
  8. Cmon baby 108. Surprised Hammel option not picked up, chance to win 2017 WS now at 97.3%
  9. Bill Simmons once wrote about jd drew and his $60 million grand slam. Jason Heyward has the $187 million inspirational speech. I am thrilled to take it.
  10. Marinating in the replay of this game right now. Much less fear-drinking going on this time.
  11. So amazing, I haven't even begun to process this. But man, when they tied it at 6-6, my soul literally imploded. However I still remained confident. I was confident all day, it was a mix of the feeling I had before the wc game last year and the 5-0 kershaw game in the nlcs. I just couldn't see us losing but came damn close when they tied it. Holy horsefeathers, just amazing and I can die happy. I would love to have been a fly on the wall for heyward's speech. Worth every penny!
  12. Forget about the players, I need rest after those last 3 nights. Right, such a relief to be sitting on a couple of big wins too. So happy that I can relax tonight and get some sleep. That much Xanax can't be good for a body.
  13. Man I wish I had some confidence in this team. This feeling is far too familiar.
  14. At this point I want them to sweep. The World Series starts a week from tomorrow (holy crap!) so I guess I would hope that they will be rusty for game 1 or something. I'd like them to have to throw Kluber one more time. Not sure how many games that would take.
  15. He's not that non-descript. His wRC+ ranked 4th in baseball, right between Joey Votto and Josh Donaldson. Dude can rake. He's got great bat-to-ball skills and power to go with it, even if his plate discipline is lackluster. And his fielding kinda sucks. Vintage Aramis Ramirez at 2B for a comp? he's saying he used to be a non-descript player I'm glad the light turned on for him just in time to completely ruin all our dreams.
  16. I hate that I'm afraid of Daniel Murphy. He was such a non-descript player and yet, here we are.
  17. That ninth inning was the greatest thing that's ever happened in my life.
  18. That was terrific, said he has 40-50 home run power. What a great night.
  19. Thank god this turd is gone. I was about to say I hope he's playing in Siberia next year but that's only if he's not in jail. Good riddance!
