  1. Heyward is still a massive train wreck.
  2. Eloy is a big boy! Got a little Tony Bautista in that swing.
  3. His other arm tattoo thing is kind of cool.
  4. Am I the only one surprised that his mom missed him playing in the World Series because she was picking up some extra shifts at chilli's? That's horsefeathering weird.
  5. Crazy and now drunk on power. Hopefully he is not president much longer.
  6. JHey did pretty well in the wife department.
  7. A rich man's Jedd Gyrko. I hope they trade the farm for him.
  8. I hate Trump yet I still feel joy by the World Series every day, six weeks later. Like literally every day. That might make me a loser, of course, yet I won't apologize. Yeah if anything it's nice to have this pocket of happiness with the world going to horsefeathers around it. I feel whole as a Cubs fan and I can't wait to watch this great team over the next 4-5 years at least (to say nothing of opening day, the ring ceremony, etc.)
  9. Very Rizzo-like. Looks a lot smoother and less moving parts, but who knows if it works. Things probably can't get worse so I'm on board.
  10. These past two seasons and the next 5 are shaping up to be a golden age of Cubs baseball. It should be fantastic. It's human nature to even look ahead of that and wonder what comes next. However I have faith that even without Theo (if he decides to move on) this will continue to be a smartly run organization. PTR knows what's up.
  11. Kyle Hendrick ISIS pic featuring Aroldis Chapman neck.
  12. the Cardinals radio call of the pickoff is my 2nd favorite moment in baseball history. http://m.mlb.com/video/topic/11493214/v31189779/must-c-conclusion-ueharas-pickoff-makes-sox-winners skip to 1:59 to hear it Hahahahahaha F Mike Shannon. Good call [expletive].
  13. I wouldn't worry about that. Everyone is still happy after the world series and if they follow baseball rumors on twitter, I think they can tell the Cubs didn't try very hard to bring him back. Eh never underestimate the silliness of the underbelly of the cubs fanbase. I saw a bunch going crazy on some NY writer for pointing out that the Yankees got Gleyber for basically free. You know there's going to be at least a few knuckleheads who lose their horsefeathers. Although of course by and large most will understand and he'll certainly get a big ovation when he comes back to Wrigley.
  14. As fun as it was to watch the sox continually spin their wheels in mediocrity, I am interested to see how this plays out. HOT horsefeathering STOVE. How about we offer Happ and parts for Q? If they're willing to deal with the Cubs, of course.
  15. I think all things being equal he signs with Toronto. Dex seems like the kind of guy who wants to play for a fun team in a fun city and Toronto fits the bill much better than the cardinals.
  16. Still doesn't feel real. Amazing.
  17. I like this but, having watched the 10th inning/extended highlights countless times, it still makes me way more anxious than anything. What an incredible roller coaster, I still can't believe all that happened. My only regret is I got a little too drunk over the course of the game but it damn near killed me. My memory is spotty of the last hour or so and I remember very little from the aftermath. Although I am pretty sure I was so happy and jubilant that I may have proposed to my then girlfriend, only to break up with her a couple of weeks later. Yikes/oops/lol. Whatever, THE CUBS WON THE WORLD SERIES AND IT WAS AWESOME.
  18. I'm going to miss dex but this is a solid move. Not expecting much more from this offseason, maybe some bullpen tinkering.
  19. Even if fowler goes elsewhere I can't see him signing with the cardinals. He'd be a great fit for them but I don't think he'd enjoy going from the young, fun, good team to the old, unfun, average team. He'll take the money from somewhere else. (Unless of course they offer something crazy like 5/110 but Mozeliak doesn't seem like the type to do that)
  20. Very slick under the radar move. It will ease the blow a bit when Gleyber becomes a star. Well that and winning the World Series in part because of the Gleyber trade. Haha right, I just tend to lump the two major bullpen trades together. I remember the Monty trade happened at the height of the media "how can they not give up Schwarber for Andrew Miller??!" And Theo was like BOOM. But yes, still on a high from the Cubs being World Champs!
  21. Very slick under the radar move. It will ease the blow a bit when Gleyber becomes a star.
  22. I wonder what it will take to keep arrieta.
  23. Cmon baby 108. Surprised Hammel option not picked up, chance to win 2017 WS now at 97.3%
