  1. It would move more if it still included fowler. He goes, we go.
  2. Jim Hendry is that you? He'd love him.
  3. Even if he never grows he'll have value as an elite defensive player around the mount and he'll run into double digit homers and enough hits from natural talent alone But his approach is endlessly frustrating it's true I feel like you can see he's making attempts to change. Hopefully the light clicks and he really takes off. But, if he doesn't, like you stated, he still is super valuable. Yeah, you can tell that's he's starting to develop an approach, but you have to maintain discipline. Hopefully he can, he's the most fun player ever when he's on.
  4. I mean, he's really [expletive] stupid by objective measures What objective measurement of Rose's intelligence do you have available to you? Assuming you know what objective means? Dwayne wade had a 16 on his ACT do you consider him a moron? 16 is much better than whatever Rose would have scored had he taken it. It's a basketball tragedy at this point so I am happy he is gone. Unless he becomes an MVP again he's about to see how much support he got from the fans, media and organization in Chicago. That being said garpax is terrible and I'd love to see them gone asap. Bulls will never win anything with those two at the helm. EDIT: and horsefeathers Dwayne wade's illiterate ass too.
  5. Still a nice cushion in the division but I want double digits by the ASG.
  6. Oh what a fun lineup. That being said the openness of Almora's stance bugs me. Hopefully they close him up like they did with Starlin and Russell.
  7. ASB cant get here any faster. This bitchin' lineup is going to scorch your pink little baby asses. Yeah I'm going to want to be healthy in September/October but I love all these fun, young lineups. Such good exposure for Javy, Willllson, Albert, etc.
  8. Wasn't there a big to-do about grichuk hitting 30 home runs this year? Nothing personal against the guy but the bfib really showed their collective asses with their devotion to this hacker.
  9. Every time I think this creepy organization and fanbase has learned or developed a little humility, I see something like this.
  10. I don't necessarily think that's true for a sport like baseball unless you're a catcher, pitcher or a guy who really relies on his legs for speed/defense. Sure it might take more time after he comes back to get all the strength back, but this isn't football or basketball where that's more true since you are constantly running, jumping, cutting, starting/stopping, getting hit, etc. When I tore my acl the first time, the last thing in all sports to come back for me was hitting in baseball. I didn't trust my knee to rotate on my back foot when I swung. It was a total mental thing though, and I didn't realize I was doing it. I could see that. Schwarber injured his right (front) leg, no? I'd think that's much better than his left.
  11. That picture of Lilly is more than a little unsettling.
  12. I also like DAvid Ross' bat drop. Even our old dudes have plenty of swag.
  13. Love how Soler busts out his chain rounding the bases on each one of his dongs.
  14. I still think Richard is a serviceable 'pen arm.
  15. I want Diaz to go back to being a pumpkin yesterday. Piscotty is as good as all the cardinal fans said grichuk was.
  16. Eh. I know he's not electric, but throwing strikes always plays in the ML. Mainly throwing strikes where you want them to. I figured he'd be more mediocre, but I figured he'd be able to hang around the majors for a while. Yeah, maybe a bit harsh. He's been better than I anticipated, so that's good. He also looks like the lovechild of Greg Maddux and Mark Prior, so there's that too.
  17. I never thought he was going to amount to anything as a major leaguer so I am just taking any and all goodness as a bonus.
  18. Tommy LaStella Surgery is where they remove your shoulders and replace them with flippers from a seal.
  19. I had that as a -7% chance that zorilla wasn't going to get that run home.
  20. Heh, yeah... http://www.trbimg.com/img-55dca79b/turbine/ct-cubs-hoping-avoid-si-cover-jinx-20150825 Man that is a great picture. Plus, no stupid pink to make it look stupid.
  21. EDIT: To their credit, the rest of the posters are shooting this guy down, but still. The mental gymnastics people have been displaying to downplay or hate on the Cubs this year has been truly something to behold. I wonder if Will Leitch would still rather have the cardinals roster instead of the Cubs. And it's also been quite obvious that you cannot simply buy a WS title.
  22. They don't make many like Javy. That was a glorious dong he unleashed today.
  23. I'll occasionally look at that board as well and have seen that guy. I am sure that he's a Cubs fan just trying to stir up trouble. (Which I think is a dumb way to spend time, but whatever.)
