  3. Anyone know why it's only the 5th place EPL team that goes to the Europa League this coming year? The last couple years the EPL has gotten 5th-7th in. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011%E2%80%9312_UEFA_Europa_League It looks like the three English entries will be as follows: Winners of 2010–11 Football League Cup Winners of 2010–11 FA Cup England 5th placed team of 2010–11 Premier League
  4. Yeah, Beating the Vikes puts the Bears at 5-0 in division, clinching the second tiebreaker over the Pack, in the event Greeb Bay wins week 17 (and therefore splits tiebreaker #1)

  8. I can't imagine any sort of determination has been made for a possible patch for next season, but what might you expect to see? With Harry and Jack there were two rather original designs, being a caricature and a signature call. Other than a generic "10", or his initials, what might you guys like to see?
  9. Rules official seemingly says what happened was fine
  10. Why would you be getting two doubleheaders?
  11. Is it not common sense that the throw would be easier for a lefty?

  14. http://www.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/22297882/25909428 Ricketts could use that fact to his advantage. The state would love paying millions a year to keep up an old, empty stadium. But Ricketts (or whomever he sells it to in this scenario) owns Wrigley. Why would the state be responsible for the upkeep on a privately owned building? Does simply having a building with landmark status entitle it to funding? I may be wrong, but the landmark status limits you from tearing down or making changes to the building, but it doesn't legally require you to spend for upkeep. That doesn't obligate the state to pay for anything.

  19. Because the stadium has changed since that time and it would not fit. The visitors dugout has not moved; and, the new seats behind home plate and the dugout seats haven't changed the dimensions of the field that much. I was thinking it was some sort of marketing reason. Otherwise, it must be arbitrary. I was wondering if anyone actualy knew the real reason. Look at the NU site layout of Wrigley. A football field would work either way. A regulation football field never fit there before, and it wouldn't now. Jersey knew "the real reason", it won't fit.
  20. That it wasn't a catch. Machine mustve been fixed,
  21. I actually was reading this the other day. The win total is one route to becoming eligible, winning a conference is the other. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bowl_eligible
