The Soriano suggestion was something that came up a while ago and was more in terms of how to better deal with his contract as time went on if the Cubs don't have a better option at 1B. The Colvin idea just came up in this thread and is the idea of one absolutely insane individual. Colvin at 1st...insane....LOL You truly are clueless. While a funny statement to be sure, when there are likely 10 max contracts to be handed out, there is a shortage of talent relative to the supply of contracts. but the obvious reason is that the new cba is expected to be much less player-friendly. Of course.

I splurged too and got back into the season ticket holder racket (did it for two years in 06-07 and 07-08). If any of the regulars have an interest in a share (be it 1/10, 1/4, 1/2, etc) let me know and we can share. You would be an equal partner, all games at face, proportionate playoff rights, and so on. Just shoot me a pm to discuss further. The seats are a pair in the $35 level.
