  1. I was enjoying this until OMC insinuated that partaking in orgies is a bad thing.
  2. Man, this makes less than no sense unless Jim is starting a crappy middle infielder collection. I remember folks clamoring for Kazuo when he first came over, and I wasn't sold on him then. I'm sure not now. Wouldn't it be spectacular if Hendry does this to try and lure Fukudome to Chicago, only to have Kosuke stay in Japan?
  3. Yes, thank god that barry bonds is off the streets. barry bonds tried to sell me crack the last time i was in san francisco I hear he forcibly injected heroin into people's foreheads.
  4. I only care about this as far as it concerns a bad case of Roger Cossack overdose. If I had to endure coverage of O.J. Simpson's preliminary hearing every time I checked ESPNews, I can only imagine whats coming.
  5. I think Pie, Murton, Theriot, Infante and Soto are a bit optimistic, but the rest seem about right to me.
  6. I would rather have Hill than Crawford. I would waffle a bit on this, but I might trade Hill for Crawford. But not both Hill and Marmol. Maybe Jim wants to offer Wood the closer's job (how Hendry would that be?).
  7. You would hope that Hendry would make a play for Fukudome before opening up holes with a big trade. Perhaps he has cooled on the idea.
  8. Yeah, that's about how I feel about it.
  9. FWIW, apparently Levine said something about it earlier today.
  10. OU is going to murder Kansas.
  11. Really? I liked him a lot more when he hit 27 homers.
  12. Yadier was bar far the best defensive catcher I personally watched.
  13. 9 months is one full game of Oblivion and Assassin's Creed with some Resistance thrown in. You'll be fine. Don't forget Ninja Gaiden Sigma.
  14. What he said.
  15. We wouldn't have to even without instant replay. He's retiring. I think that was the point he was making.
  16. I'd take Zimmerman over any of them.
  17. It doesn't seem like a slight, but when you look at the competition, it may well have been. Regardless, you have to go to Zimmerman before Wright. I think Ramirez and Zimmerman were both better in the field.
  18. Yeah, the writing was clearly on the wall regarding this move.
  19. There is no method to this madness. I love it how Wright goes from being questioned to playing questionable defense and wins the GG while Aramis goes from questionable defense to great defense and gets no recognition. And I also love it how whenever an AL SS not named Jeter wins the GG it is an "upset".
  20. I agree. As long as the margins aren't screwed, I don't care.
  21. While Lee had a down year defensively, I don't think it was due a erosion of skills. He seemed to just botch more routine plays rather than not be able to make tough ones.
  22. Albert is lauded as by far the best defensive first baseman by those who keep track of such things. I think you can make a strong case for him being the best, but "by far"? I don't buy that. IMO, he's marginally if any better than Lee, and no better than Helton. But I really haven't seen a defensive metric that has me convinced at all that it can accurately quantify defensive ability, so it's all opinion and conjecture IMO.
