    I would think that Beltran would be one of the last Mets to go, with only Reyes and Wright behind him. Green, Delgado and the older players would be the first to go.

    Marshall posted a sub 4.00 ERA. He's pretty much an upgrade at the back end of the rotation for almost every single team in the league. The Braves aren't one of the exceptions. Smoltz Hudson James Jo-Jo Reyes? ??? Except that the guy can't seem to pitch more than 120 innings without losing his effectiveness. If he had been left in the rotation, he'd have finished with an ERA of 4.5+ the way he was going. He really may be better out of the pen. Either way, I don't think he'll be in the mix for the 5th spot next season. I'd trade Marshall, Gallagher a reliever and a position prospect for Renteria and a throw in. Edgar would really solidify the offense.

    Red Sox over Angels in 4. Indians over Yankees in 5. Cubs over DBacks in 4. Phillies over Rockies in 5. Red Sox over Indians in 7. Cubs over Phillies in 6. Red Sox over Cubs in 7. The hardest series to call is Phils/Rox. Both with explosive offenses, mediocre-bad pitching. Could go either way.

    90-70 isn't lucky. Best team in the NL, isn't lucky. People have said that for months, still wrong. Now, who is pitching for you guys Game 1, 2, 3? Assuming we meet up. 1: Webb vs -- 2: Davis vs -- 3: No idea vs. -- 90-70 when you gave up more runs than you scored is kind of lucky, I'm sorry. Your lineup is average, your rotation outside of Webb is below average. Fans and experts across the board have openly wondered just how in the hell the DBacks have won as many games as they have, and it's not because they are all haters. On paper, the Cubs should wax you in a 5 game series. That said, the DBacks have the Cubs' number, and I fear them more than the other potential playoff teams.
