He’d be throwing it away too often. If he’s outside the box chances are good he’s in scramble mode and that’s where I’d rather see him try to create with his legs.
Hes not a pocket passer. He won’t ever be. This is it. He’s playing as good as he ever will. Only question now is whether this is what the Bears want to move forward with, or start over.
I decided to check on the rule they invoked. There is indeed a clause that says it’s not IG if the defender affects the throw. A pretty good argument can be made that there was no receiver that could possibly have been the target of the throw regardless.
But it’s not like there’s no rule that the refs used.
There’s not much to complain about today. Some nitpicky stuff, and yes, Fields could’ve made a few better throws. But overall it was a really solid game. Feels pretty good.
Brewers sustainably compete. Can’t get much smaller market than that. I can tell you right now no Brewer fans are jumping to big market teams. They all wear small market as a badge of honor.
tbh I’m glad the Cubs didn’t sign Ohtani. I get that he would increase revenue a ton but I still think it’s too much money for one player. Not having him isn’t going to prevent the Cubs from being competitive.
Let the Dodgers spend like maniacs. They still haven’t won a real championship even with all the spending.
