Totally agree. -
No more calling grades stats, honest. I just don’t know how to process that. Fields graded higher than one might expect? I tend to just say OK, but I know what I saw.

I just take football stats with a healthy grain of salt. Fields stunk yesterday. The eye test is as important as any of these grades. He was terrible.

Also old-timey: letting a coach have his 3 years regardless of how bad he is. My best guess: Eberflus gets to fire coordinators after this year but keeps his job, because.....3 years. -

Except Brewers. In their case, just plug in some journeyman players, hit them all at the right window where they’ll play good before sinking back to mediocrity. Steamroll through September on the way to an easy division title. Simple.

Yeeaahh. Having all sorts of fun with Chicago sports these days. Aerosmith canceled at the United Center too. Even non-sporting events are a disappointment.

It’s probably a combo of things when it comes to QB, yeah. I don’t have any confidence at all that Poles can identify a star QB, and zero confidence Eberflus can prep one for NFL success. The only way this iteration of the Bears winds up with a good QB is in spite of a terrible organization. He has to be so in charge of his own success that it just doesn’t matter that he has no one to help him.

No. Because we know 0-2 is just who the Bears are. There’s reason to believe the Bengals can turn it around.
