  1. The "look what I hath wrought" bat flip is probably the coolest thing ever.
  2. Umm, catcher's indifference when it's the tying run?
  3. Wow that was a pretty nice play by Kep.
  4. Hahahah, that's a strike on some planet, but not this one.
  5. Actually....I wouldn't mind CH coming over to the Cubs in a couple years when he wants to get paid. Just sayin' i wonder if i'm the only one who knows that the brewers' payroll is over $90 million. well they aren't going to be able to pay all their young guys big money contracts, unless they plan on spending closer 200 million.
  6. Unfortunately Dusty values insurance runs about as much as he values OBP.
  7. Actually....I wouldn't mind CH coming over to the Cubs in a couple years when he wants to get paid. Just sayin'
  8. Seriously Schroeder, think about what you are saying before you say it. Please. Fielder hits a sharp ground ball, but it's a GROUND BALL. Schroeder: "well you can't hit it any better than that."
  9. Ugh, Weathers.
  10. Hahahah! Reds lead.
  11. Dunn: FAIL.
  12. he looks like baby huey. Yeah he needs a full beard to pass for the axeman of the north.
  13. Paul Bunyan up, bases juiced.
  14. Oh crap runner didn't advance to 3rd on that. Yost overuses his closer again, Torres in. You can't use him for everything, Ned.
  15. Fatty #1 fumbles it. Man on 3rd for Dusty's Reds.
  16. I've been asking this all week and I think the consensus is that no one knows. All year it has been the 3:55 (EST) games that FOX has blacked out. Tomorrow's game was supposed to be 3:55(EST), but got moved to 1:00 eastern. But, ESPN projected schedule still lists the cubs game as a FOX broadcast, which makes no sense. I'm thinking that they forgot to remove the FOX tag when they changed the time and it will be available tomorrow. Note: I'm talking about availability to mlb.tv, I don't have EI, but I would imagine if it's not blacked out on mlb.tv then it's not on EI either. If it starts at noon, then I don't think it falls in the blackout time frame. I could be wrong on that though. I'll look on my cable guide when I get home to see if it's listed on there tomorrow. I don't know about that. I seem to remember a couple early Saturday starts this year that have been blacked out so FOX can show a 3pm game. I'm betting us out-of-towners are S.O.L. tomorrow, which of course sucks. FOX's national contract is a steaming pile of cow dung.
  17. Not sure if anyone else has tried to make this point, but here's Soto's last 14 days: .360/.411/.680 - he's OPSing over 1.000 Even going back to his last 28 days: .299/.367/.529 - very respectable, considering it's an OPS of .891 and trending upwards. My point here: before we start believing that Kosuke has been "figured out" -- which indicates that he might not even be able to come back to better numbers -- let's consider the possibility that he might just be in a slump. There were a few posts around here awhile ago about Soto having been "figured out" when it was probably just a slump, and good Geo is, indeed, back.
  18. Position player development. That's where we've failed. Not just Hendry, up & down the org. Soto could be the best player to come through here since Gracie. If he continues to produce, hopefully it signals a new era where we can get some all star talent out of our own minors. I actually think we've done alright developing pitching talent.
  19. Paging Jeff Gilooly. Mr. Jeff Gilooly, please report to Wrigley Field. /kidding. Funny, I was going to post something Gilooly-related in response to the same post a couple hours ago, but decided it would be in poor taste. Thanks for speaking my mind! Hahah. That one actually went over my head until just now.
  20. Don't you know? Every time someone was good and now they're bad, it's a 100% certainty they were on steroids. Get with the program, man. Geez. Of course.
  21. Alright alright. I was only half joking around.
  22. Might be fun to go to a Cardinals game with that on.
  23. Seconded Exactly what I was going to post. Thirded.
