everyone thinks fontenot is terrible b/c he's small and white, but in reality he can probably give you league-average offense for a starter at 2B. One thing I'll say -- I don't worry about turning double plays when he & Theriot are in there. Remember the days when we struggled just to turn DPs? There's your ALL STAR ROOKIE CATCHER in action!! And here comes tooth-pick chewer to pull harang.

he was covered in the magical STL pixie dust that turns anyone, even the sh##@iest players into studs while wearing the Uniform. It's quite remarkable. I need some of that pixie dust. I hate them. I should have punched LaRussa out. They're catching most teams at the perfect time -- Phils after losing 3, Red Sox with a bunch of players hurt, etc. However, they really should have been swept by us, and they caught the lowly Royals on a hot streak and got torched. They're also not all that great at home. Methinks their days are numbered. I'm considering only the games we are ahead of the Brewers.

Was on a "Cubs Cruise" on the lake after a cubs-cards game in '01, Kerry was on the deck in the back of the boat signing autographs. I was in line waiting for Kerry to sign a baseball. Then his fiance I believe, Sarah was standing by his side when a bystander from the top deck leaned over and puked all over her. She was not so hot at that moment. How did Kerry react? I wouldn't hold that against Sara. However, if I was Kerry, that guy would need a Medivac helicopter. As a man who has puked off of his share of balconies, you don't always plan to puke off of balconies, and when you do end up puking off of balconies you definitely don't have the wherewithal to check for innocent bystanders. Doesn't matter. It's a matter of principle. Puke on my centerfold wife = paramedics needed. So if your wife was only average looking you'd have let it slide?? Yep. Too bad baby, told you to get that boob job.

No Jim, Rich Harden has never been hurt at all. He did say that the Cubs doctors had access to the A's doctors and all of Harden's records. I don't know if that should inspire confidence or not. We all remember our doctors not finding anything wrong with Prior. That really isn't what he was getting at.
