  1. that's it, cubs are taking over the universe. Holey Moley. If that Rich Hill comes back to the majors, our rotation is going to be freaking sick!
  2. Hehe, Edmonds kinda figured Kevin out now, didn't he.
  3. I don't think we have other starters who use the changeup like this either, so it's a double bonus to have a different sort of pitcher out there.
  4. Dude, is it just gameday or is Harden's changeup an absolute monster?
  5. Hehe. Fortunately his opponents can't go to the plate with a jumbo wiffle bat either.
  6. Cmon gameday get your butts in gear and get that Edmonds home run posted in the video section.
  7. Not too bad. many folks can't watch this one so the viewership is scattered across all kinds of time-delayed media.
  8. Let's.......keep Jimmy around a bit longer.
  9. It's true, Gameday is showing this guy throws nothing but straight meat every pitch. Is that how it's coming through on TV too?
  10. That's wasn't good from our 3,4,5 hitters. Table set and everything.
  11. Man, gameday showed that one was a meatball down the middle of the plate. Correia just got lucky.
  12. I know bunting is considered antiquated in this day and age, but I love when a guy can just drop one down out of nowhere and leg it out. I assume Castillo was hanging back, and Fuku has pretty good technique when dropping those down, so I don't mind it. Keeps 'em thinking. Next time, dump one over his head when he plays up :)
  13. Can't be. That would mean Stone was wrong about Harden's fastball losing velocity. Stone can't be wrong. Stone has been wrong, but he's also right a hell of a lot more than people around here give him credit for. Hes not right near as much as he thinks he is. He's wrong a hell of a lot more than people used to think.
  14. Can't be. That would mean Stone was wrong about Harden's fastball losing velocity. Stone can't be wrong.
  15. That's what I love most about Cubs fans, I think. The Cubs make a big trade, and in the players first game at Wrigley, they get a minutes-long standing ovation. Nomar did, Harden did... I'm sure Lofton and Ramirez did. It's what makes players what to come here and play. Come on. Everyone knows they come for the beer ;)
  16. Wow, what inning did this happen? I wonder if it affected Lilly on the mound. I don't think I could go out and pitch if I knew I just put a kid in the hospital, though of course I don't know if Lilly realized the severity during the game or not. I hope everything turns out OK.
  17. 3, 4 years from now Gally will be a mainstay in the middle of that rotation and you'll be hearing comments to the effect of "gee, I guess Beane didn't get ripped off in that Harden trade after all." ....but you heard it on nsbb years earlier.
  18. Yeah it's got to be blacked out on EI. I distinctly remember this situation 2 times earlier this year and the 12:05 saturday game was blacked out. And what have the gods of Fox deemed to be a game that I should watch today? Oh yes, wait for it........Diamondbacks @ Phillies. FOX FREAKING SUCKS!! ...even Brewer fans would rather watch the Cubs game so they can root against the Cubs. Duh?!? Idiots.
  19. It's the Summer league. Who cares.
