  1. That's exactly the sort of bad rebound that Huet gives up when he's not playing well. I sure hope we're not on the front end of another cold streak.
  2. A catastrophic collapse might be the only way to get change. So yes, I'm on board with this. Plus it would be funny if we ended up with a top 7 pick and the Broncos took Bradford or Locker or Clausen and he became a HOF QB. I can't Bear the thought of it.
  3. LOL, but the real story is never going to end.
  4. Should they? I was just starting to buy into the notion that we should largely sit tight this offseason.
  5. Hair's good for pullin'...
  6. I guess I'm rooting for Cutler to have a good day. I'm not sure a win really benefits us all that much. It benefits Lovie, but not us.
  7. Give Rich Rod a couple more years. You'll be sorry you made this comment. He might not have a couple more years if he doesn't improve the team quickly. I'm not saying national title contender, but 8-4 would be a good start. think they'll improve that much next year? Take Graham and Warren off that defense and how much can it reasonably be expected to improve? Seems like it'll be at least 2011 before they're contending for a Big Ten title again, won't it? I don't know. The Big 10 is pretty weak. Teams like Northwestern do relatively well with little or no talent.
  8. Any chance Lovie would agree to a buyout?
  9. Yeah, I want to like Gruden but often he's too much rah-rah and fluff, and not enough substance. I've never really liked Jaws, although he's not the worst.
  10. Hehe, fans don't want to hear your explanations mr ref
  11. it is nice to see top notch football after watching the funeral that is the Chicago Bears.
  12. Oh man, Ellis could have pretty much sealed the deal but now it's a ballgame. That's huge. And how can you let Moss mosey on down the field wide open like that? He wasn't even running.
  13. Pains me to say it, but Minny/Saints would be one of the more exciting NFC Championship matchups in memory.
  14. Isnt Shanahan an offensive guy though? If he were to come here I have a feeling he would control most of the offense, and not let Kubiak have much say. Id be in favor of a Cower/Kubiak package. Let Cower worry about the D, and let Kubiak worry about the offense. Cowher/Kubiak would be like the Dream Team compared to what we have now.
  15. Sick to my stomach. He might be all you can get, other than a young unproven guy who is looking for a shot. Or Martz. i'm just saying, it seems to be the general consensus that turner is awfu, while a lot of people still think that weis is a good offensive mind who was just not cut out to lead a college program. I know. I actually don't dismiss the idea. I think it'll be a tough sell in Chicago though, which of all major cities is probably one of the most ND-centric and hurting from ND's failures.
  16. Which really isn't all that bad of a fallback option. oh i don't think it is either, but kelly certainly isn't a sure thing like bob stoops or urban meyer. he's kind of in the same place that people like meyer, dan hawkins, paul johnson and john l. smith were when they were at a middle-of-the-road program that they turned into something really good, and you didn't really know if they were going to be a boom or a bust when stepping up to a big-time program. some turn out really good (meyer, johnsonn) and some are bad (hawkins, smith). Hawkins was good once? LOL.

  18. Which really isn't all that bad of a fallback option. Meh. Cincy has no running game and no defense. Kelly openly admitted he entered the Illinois game trying to outscore them. Seems like if we wanted someone that fit those criteria that we already had him. Granted, Kelly has succeeded greatly at Cincy, but so did Rodriguez at WVU (also in the Big East). I'd be hopeful for Kelly but not overly confident if he was the guy. The Rodriguez verdict at Michigan isn't nearly final.
  19. Would he work under Lovie knowing that he's likely a lame duck HC?
  20. http://sports.espn.go.com/golf/news/story?id=4699907 I think you can say it's getting more serious for Elin. Yes, and if Elin is charged, then Tiger's dirty laundry probably gets aired out along with hers.
  21. Are you a season ticket holder and or sponsor of the team? If not, you aren't giving them any money. Not a season ticket holder but I spend money on tickets, and I spend money on this team in other ways, such as merchandise, concessions at the games I go to. I'm not a "big spender" on the Bears but I still contribute. My point is based on what I believe is a near certainty that nothing will be done. If the McCaskeys actually do something, then obviously I was wrong and I will applaud their efforts.
  22. Yeah, I think Hunter may appear to be decent because everything else has completely collapsed around him. I don't think that means he's actually "good" though.
  23. Not the fans' fault the McCaskeys spent their money in the wrong place. They wanted to own an NFL team. Now deal with the problems. You realize they inherited the team from Halas a couple decades ago right? It's not like they just went out and bought them. Hey, if they can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen. They could sell at any time. My point stands. They want to own an NFL team? Deal with the problems. Don't come to me, the fan, and say "I don't want to have to eat money so you should just keep giving us cash for a bad team." They're not coming to you. Sure they are. If they let the team languish under bad leadership, that's on them. That's the McCaskeys saying to you: "keep giving us money while we suck."

  25. They did fine. That's a brutal road trip. Near the end they were playing too often, after already being tired & away from home for Thanksgiving. I'm happy with it.
