The overthrows are likely an indication of a loss of confidence, and confusion. Even a "franchise QB" needs to have coaches that keep a player on target, and correct any difficulties he might be going through. I really doubt the Bears are providing any of that coaching. They haven't done it ever for their QBs, I find it hard to believe they are suddenly doing it now. He's all alone, in a sea of boos and marginal teammates, with nobody but Donovan McNabb to give him an encouraging word after the game.
