  1. Hahahh! Just keep pounding 'em into the ice!
  2. Yeah! They're from Chicago, and they're actually good n stuff!
  3. Say what you want about Big Ben; he pulls games out of the fire like that quite a bit, and that is valuable.
  4. Trade Briggs for a pick. Go after Boldin. The d already sucks with Briggs, and Cutler's going to wind up being the most colossal failure in Bears history if they don't get him a legit target, and quickly.
  5. I still think it was a bad move, especially in today's game where you never get a 2nd try.
  6. Ooohh, you knew it but just couldn't pull the trigger!
  7. They said earlier that the Bears apparently announced Lovie will be back regardless of the outcome of the remaining games. Not only is this season horrible, but next season will also very likely be rife with incompetence, losing, and much booing. What a disaster this franchise has become just 3 short years after a Super Bowl appearance.
  8. I'm in a hotel in Milwaukee so I doubt I'll get it unless the bar is showing it.
  9. It would be great if snow is still falling during the game itself.
  10. Detroit lost by 45. Let's go for the gusto: lose by no more than 20.
  11. I'll bet Iglesias would be fine too, in rookie terms. Bears want us to believe all these guys are "not ready." most of the time we find out they should have been playing earlier. Gilbert should be playing too. There's no reason to protect underperforming vets at this point.
  12. THAT is good quarterback play.
  13. That entire TD drive was Cutler passing, under heavy pressure. I really don't care what anyone says, there's talent there. We need to get him the time & targets, and start moving defenders off the line of scrimmage. Yes, he will always throw some boneheaded picks. He'll also make plenty of great plays. We need to get this kid what he needs and stop dwelling on every mistake.
  14. That would make sense, if Mannely wasn't on his back on the ground when the penalty was called. Yeah he got knocked to his back and that's it. What did he do, use harsh language? Dumb call.
  15. Refs are idiots. Mannelly did nothing.
  16. Contact was early. We haven't gotten that call all year.
  17. That's a 5 yard gain Jamal, quit acting like a buffoon.
  18. Lovie is now failing at all 3 goals he set during his first press conference.
  19. Week 13 and those kinds of glaring, overt failures are still happening. What a junk team.
  20. Me too, which is why i think 2.5/3.0 is low. I can't imagine there's that much money on Chicago to keep it so low. But obviously there's a good amount of money on Chicago, whether it's by lots of small bets or a small amount of large ones. Rodgers tripped over his cat and only a select few really rich guys know about it. 8-)
  21. They've definitely shown improved defense/goaltending this year. That stat is the one that sticks out to me most. I expected the Hawks to outshoot people. But I really thought Huet would be a problem.
  22. Those all seem like a stretch to me though. GB is a much better team at this point in the season. They've also got a winning record on the road. Sure the game earlier in the year was close, but GB improved greatly and the Bears regressed.
  23. This still wouldn't keep current players from deciding to transfer/leave early or current recruits from de-committing during that time. I imagine that's a big part of what Kelly will be dealing with immediately. True, and this isn't simply an ND related issue; Cincinnati needs to get a new coach in to try to retain the Bearcat recruits who might now be bailing out with Kelly leaving. True, but at least the Cincinnati players are focused on their bowl game and likely won't get to mixed up in what they're doing next year until after the game. Can't say the same for the recruits though. You could just freeze all those other possible activities too. No hirings, no transfers, no nothing until the bowl season is over. No visits, no contact, nada. ...but I'd much rather just institute a playoff system that starts earlier and ends around the same time.
  24. I don't know if this means there's still a bunch of delusional Bears fans putting money on them, or if Vegas knows something about this matchup that I can't figure out. It looks to me like they are trying to get people to take the Packers, which shouldn't be a problem. Vegas doesn't know something we don't know. The Bears are terrible. There must be a bunch of delusional Bears fans out there. I can't believe that. The stadium had a ton of empty seats last week. The thought is, there will be many, many green and piss yellow coats in the stands on Sunday. Bear-dom knows this team sucks. That line is just crazy.
  25. The news here said he would not coach the Sugar Bowl, i'm not a fan of that but goes along with a hire in this time of the month. Yeah, I'd say ND was pretty insistent that whoever they hire come aboard immediately. It's unfortunate for Cincy, to say the least, but it's an absolute necessity. You simply can't go 6 weeks in December and January without a coach and hope to retain any of your recruits. He needs to spend that time getting his staff together and then visiting as many of those wavering recruits (whether currently committed or not) as he possibly can. I still feel bad for those Cincy players. This system does suck.
