  1. It might be worse to go to the playoffs and get obliterated by LeBron & Co. than to just not go. This wouldn't be the aging Celitics without their big man. It would be the actual favorite in the East, with the best player in the world playing at the peak of his prowress. A massacre.
  2. Feels good to be witnessing confident Hawks hockey again. Keep it going.
  3. But he won't be. Ever. Just because.
  4. You could look at it that way, or you could look at it as mid major teams becoming more competitive in the past few years, which might lead to more opportunities. If Michigan State can make it to the final 4 as often as they have, I've got to believe mid majors will have more opportunities. Butler's only losing one player (Veasley) so who knows, they could have another shot next year. Really though this was the weakest field ever. College bball should be a lot better next year. I doubt Butler gets this far again. They had a great shot against a less than super opponent. Gave it a hell of a run. Yeah, I'm more hoping that mid majors might continue to have opportunities like this. I don't know that it will happen. I thought it was really fun. Seeing #1 seeds go down is one of my favorite things in the tourney. Not because I want to see the #1's fail, but because I love to see these underdog teams do well.
  5. It's not like he has to turn into a linebacker. I was thinking maybe pass-catching TE. It looked like he had decent hands in college.
  6. I'm not sure what his timed speed is, but his college football career was productive enough that I would think he'd at least get a look from someone. Maybe he'd fail miserably, I don't know. I wonder what he'd look like bulked up.

  8. Do the Bears have somebody that can get people out? We have players who can take people out, Farnsworth-style.
  9. You can tell the days we suffered a bad loss by looking for all the post game reaction threads :)
  10. It does kind of irk me when a major commentator comes on and acts like people should feel ashamed or something for not rooting for X team.
  11. I don't understand what Coach K did to inspire such hatred either. However, not being a Duke fan, I certainly would rather have seen the upstart Bulldogs win one. Duke can expect to be in contention every year. It would have really been nice for a non-standard contender to take home the trophy. And there's no doubt it would have been the better story.
  12. It's just another way to group pitchers in terms of level of talent. I don't see the issue. Because it starts up a lot of semantic arguments that don't really mean much.
  13. There you go, just run around the big guy.
  14. Bleh, let's just play better Wednesday. Win one of these Atlanta games. Just don't start out on a big losing streak. Today doesn't kill me.
  15. My brain says Duke My heart says Butler To hell with my brain.
  16. Oh my God they're still hitting. Edit: finally. Couple of 6 run innings. Not so gouda.
  17. At least now you have something to talk about at the watercooler.
  18. Nobody's buying at his contract. I'd be happy if they simply consider not making him the opening day starter.
  19. he definitely doesn't. They turned on the air conditioning to push him along faster.
