  1. This is going to sound dramatic but the Cubs really need to take care of teams like this and if they don’t it might tell the story of a failed season.
  2. This loss is horrific but so was that March 30 Diamondbacks game and the team brushed it off.
  3. Should’ve just lost the game outright. better for run differential.
  4. I’m really good at it. Ask my wife and she’ll tell you it’s not a valuable skill.
  5. This team is getting the most out of its players right now. Hope it keeps rolling. It occurs to me that perhaps this is why Counsell matters.
  6. They won the series in MKE. Successful weekend in terms of the game outcomes. I’ll just stick with that for now.
  7. Well we won the series but may have lost the wave of momentum we were riding. Ugh.
  8. Yep. I don’t mind the betting although I’m smart enough to know I’d lose all my cash so I don’t do it. But $150/yr for MLB.TV, can they at least start with some non-rivalry games? Jeebs. Anyway, rant over.
  9. How can they dish big division rival games to the F’ing FanDuel network? WTF even is the FanDuel network?
  10. If Loveland and Burden are both hits I’ll consider it a good draft though. Add Turner as either a starter or solid rotational guy and I’ll be very pleased. Big ifs.
  11. Love how the Brewers got dressed down by the White Sox too. Would be nice if they played to their actual level of talent all season.
  12. Oh so THATs when the losing streak starts.
  13. Feels like it’s a pattern with the Cubs playing down to the level of opponents. I can accept the “that’s baseball“ explanation if it’s happening occasionally. So get to this guy and win the damn game. He’s good but so are we.
  14. I believe so yes. Although I also think Warren is more highly regarded than Kmet was.
  15. Matt Miller says the Burden pick was the #1 pick of the entire draft. And Loveland was his #7 pick overall. Says Burden was the best WR in the draft (he counted Hunter as a two-way player), and he had Loveland over Warren as #1 TE.
  16. Damn. This guy is a star. I wonder if it’s a case where the perfect manager showed up just in time to take PCA to the next level.
  17. Yeah, I’m for it provided it’s not an insane $$$/years.
  18. He never fumbled a single time in college. His #s steadily improved each year, and he wound up leading the B1G in yardage in 2023, then put up similar #’s in 2024. This was with Rutgers. He’s got to have something going for him to overcome what was going on around him. Maybe he flew under the radar to an extent because of where he played. He’s 7th round, I’d say given where he was picked it’s a solid selection regardless of what happens.
  19. I still get tripped up in extras when I look up and see a runner in 2nd. Wait how did I miss that double?
  20. “Monangai could prove to be the best value of all these picks.” —Chad Reuter, NFL.com
