Please Jay don't throw them like 5 INTS :) I hope we shut them up too. I wish I could just dismiss a team like this, but unfortunately it's the NFL. Yeah, they could actually win the game. It's the nature of the beast in this league. We're clearly better. But we need to actually show it on Sunday, and that's really all that matters.

It wouldn't guarantee anything. In this case it seems sure that it would have reversed the call. To me this is definitely a good argument for replay. You aren't going to stop stupid people from existing. They're out there. And I don't want to declare Joyce "handled it badly" because he openly showed remorse. That just doesn't seem right to me. I'm happy he didn't try to clam up or become obstinate over the whole deal. One other thing too -- it's amazing that they've actually got all the technology in place. It's ready to go. They already spent the money, did the work. And now? Now we ask the very people who are charged with getting the calls right to ignore the video replays that everyone else can see! No, you can't look on that video screen 20 feet away. Everyone else can see it, but you can't. It's mind numbing.

I don't think you're wrong. It would be a tough haul but if healthy they could possibly have something to say here.

A few weeks ago he was nearly universally considered washed up. I don't think the Bears have an excuse for letting Hasselbeck beat them. NO didn't, either. The Bears should watch the tape of that NO/SEA game, and learn how not to sleepwalk into a game against an inferior opponent. The fact is, the Bears are the better team. Even if they lose they're still better. But that doesn't always bear itself out in a single game. So they better look sharp and execute well, limit the mistakes, and don't look ahead.

The is the best of all worlds for the Bears. But...I'm sure the Saints were saying the same thing. Come to play, and everything will be fine. Walk on the field thinking you can sleepwalk to a win, and you'll be finding yourself making offseason plans earlier than you figured. The gap between good & mediocre in this league is just too small for any team to not bring a full effort. The Hawks don't scare me, but the idea that the Bears might not give their best effort DOES.

Agreed. The only thing that would be more epic (for me at least) is a Cubs/Cardinals NLCS Well OK, but for any of us who were around those Bulls championship wins easily, easily eclipse a Bears/Packers game that isn't even for all the marbles. Just is.
