I saw those numbers and had the same reaction as N&G: barf we better beat those projections or it'll be one of those "enjoy Wrigley and try to forget the team" kind of years.

Really? They just won the Super Bowl without him. I think that pretty much proves he's replaceable.

At any rate I guess everyone will be holding out until they find out the labor situation. At least there won't be long to wait. Is it really going to come down to a fight over 16 vs. 18 games, or is there more to it than that?

This team might have dynasty potential. There's just way too much talent coming back from injury, Ryan Grant, Nick Barnett, Jermichael Finley all come to mind. It's going to be pretty disappointing if we do not achieve similar results next year. Of course what would be more disappointing is if this is the last football game we see for a while. They could be really good for awhile, agreed. It's pretty rare for a team to go from one star QB to another in succession. Frustrating for Bear fans to watch it happen to the hated Packers.

Exactly, none of them are any good. Yeah, I can't for the life of me figure out why anyone would have the Super Bowl on. lots of other channels make things specifically to air during the super bowl halftime. or does your remote not work during the super bowl? Sure, but the notion that everyone on the planet should flip on Animal Planet for 20 minutes, is, frankly, silly. Or anything else for that matter.

No, but it's clear the Bears have developed a strategy that at least gives them a chance. It's a really tough offense to stop. Lots of teams found this out. Interestingly -- the Lions fared well too, relatively speaking. I think the familiarity helps.

coughblackhawkscough Nope, he means come from nowhere (i.e. 6 seed) to win it. Green Bay might have been a 6 seed, but they certainly didn't come from nowhere. I'm pretty sure he meant come from a low seed position, so parse out the rest however you wish.
