  1. It would also be nice to actually beat Howard on an open [expletive] shot for a change.
  2. Home alone tonight with nothing to do but obsess over the Blackhawks. This could get ugly.
  3. There's so much about that segment that I love. TWTW. Can't be measured and supercedes anything you can come up with. LOL. I love how after 10 minutes of arguing, Harold then wants to talk about pitcher wins. Like, no, hell no, he didn't just change the subject to pitcher wins now. Oh yes he did.
  4. Rotoworld picked up on Pompei with a "yeah....no" blurb, lol.
  5. He was a 6th rounder in 2010, picked by the Rams. The Bears are his 6th team, counting practice squads. He's played in 4 NFL games, with 3 of those coming in his rookie year (2 receptions for 15yds), 1 game in his 2nd year, and none last year. I sincerely hope that he doesn't have a significant role on this team. It's exactly this sort of insider analysis that makes the subscriber fee worthwhile.
  6. He's shaking his head at the stupidity of swinging at it, and then he does it AGAIN to whiff. I try not to judge a guy like that (one situation), but it's baffling when a player knows what is wrong and simply continues doing it anyway. If he's trying to show how his value as a player is limited, he's doing a great job in an AB like that one.
  7. Well, that'll do it.
  8. What the hell are they talking about!??!?
  9. What? That puck is in!!
  10. I was about to curse Howard for making open saves. Then Kaner puts it in. Please let this spark something.
  11. Obviously concerned now.... That was a very nice penalty kill by the Hawks. KANE SCORES!!
  12. Truly bizzare that I happened to tune into West Brom / Man U just as that comeback started.
  13. Agreed. It's a friggin' MASH unit. They all deserve credit for going further than could be expected. ...except Rose, who will now always be doubted.
  14. Yeah, but this has got to be the end, refs or not.
  15. Good point. Sign players to reasonable deals, and they're still able to be traded if you so choose.
  16. Weird. Wittenmeyer posted an article last night that basically said the Rizzo deal is a good one -- and also paints the overall direction of the Cubs rebuild in a positive light. http://blogs.suntimes.com/cubs/2013/05/chicago_cubs_sign_anthony_rizzo_to_7-year_41-m.html Not that I really care what he says or does, but it's kind of confusing to me.
  17. That dude is unreal. A year ago there was some thought that it could be a big year for him....it couldn't have gone in a more opposite direction. Makes me wonder if there's some kind of undiagnosed mental disability happening.
  18. Yup, and Saturday for game 2 because the Bulls are scheduled to play game 6 of their series at the UC Friday (if necessary of course). My prediction is Hawks in 6. I wouldn't be surprised if the Wings take 1 of the first 2 at the UC, before the Hawks take control of the series. Hawks'll be rested, and hopefully not rusty.
  19. The choices were Detroit or a San Jose team that swept Vancouver. The hot team is San Jose. Yeah, this is clearly the better matchup. Plus the rivalry factor should make for fun television. And some fun misery porn by reading the other teams message boards after a Hawks win. Though that swings both ways. I'm happy with it. San Jose hot though, after dispatching the biggest choke-meisters in the NHL? Nay!
  20. Yeah, reading the tea leaves, it's apparently good for the Blackhawks. Ducks had the Hawks' number in the regular season so having them out is supposedly good. Not having to face a bona fide thug in Torres is a plus. But, then again, Detroit showed some spunk in this series, coming back to win it. I don't really like the Hawks having to face a "hot" Wings team... There's no easy way to the Stanley Cup, so this one is as good as any if you're a Chicago fan.
  21. You cannot.
  22. Sheesh, that blows.
  23. Haha, sorry man I'll try to do better.
  24. We are being beaten by white trash gone mad, and the Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
  25. He looks like the villain from a children's story. I wish he wasn't playing good, but he kind of is.
