  1. Man, we knocked Quick out of the game. That mutha [expletive] serves notice.
  2. I'm starting to feel confident now.
  3. Wow, incredible save by Craw there.
  4. Oh he just missed!
  5. Kings have been better since the goal, imo
  6. Well duh, that's right in your backyard. We're getting Reds/Pirates in south central wisconsin - what the [expletive] hell?!? I'd rather see your game if we aren't going to see the Cubs. Does Liriano look as good as his stat line would suggest? Pretty good, but a little bump in the road here in the 5th. He got in trouble and woke up, got a few K's. I'd say he looks solid.
  7. I was going to say we were getting the Yankees-Red Sox in LA too. So dumb, not everyone cares about them. I seriously cannot believe they are cutting off Cubs at the illinois border. I mean look at that crap.

  9. Well, unless Richards doesn't miss any time. In which case it's Bolland for nothing. I don't think it was dirty, but he left his feet.

  11. Incredibly bad announcing. Not one solitary word on the significance of that penalty. It ended the game - not a single word about it. What a fantastic final couple minutes by the Hawks.
  12. He must be trying to figure out how quickly a player can blow his shot at a career in the NFL.
  13. Yeah, but he was seen on camera doing it several times, and yes I appreciated the emotion too but that's not how it was being perceived. It was being perceived as Toews losing composure. Pretty much the entire narrative of the halftime show of that game was about Toews needing to calm down, so if you are asking why Toews is not getting equal credit from people, it's a valid thing to point out.
  14. If he doesn't (or can't) cancel out Toews, they get swept or lose in 5. The way I see it, people expect Toews to shut down Zetterberg but its news when Zetterberg shuts down Toews. but i don't understand why. you can just as easily say that the hawks lose in 5 if toews doesn't cancel out zetterberg. I'm not a real good source for hockey stats, but I see Toews is a -2 for the playoffs so far, and 6 total points. Only Leddy and Seabrook have a lower +/- so far. Z posted 12 points and a +3. Toews does need to pick up his game a little, and I think he will. While you can say that each player neutralized each other, it's clear to me that Z had the better playoffs through 2 series, so maybe that's why Z is getting more credit. Also, Toews' meltdown was pretty obvious, so it drew a lot of attention.
  15. Well, they've climbed off the floor of the National league (barely), and I like it, for the moment. Always helps morale to beat the SouthSiders. Let's see if they can continue doing a few nice things. Give me June, and then let's see where we stand.
  16. NHL.com has a preview of the Hawks/Kings series, and they call out Seabrook for playing poorly until the end of the series.
  17. Emrick's become the voice of hockey broadcasts in this country, pretty much. Strader's just another guy. Maybe it's sacrilege, but I for one will enjoy the break from Olczyk. Just hear way too much of his voice. And his too-balanced approach for calling Hawks/Wings games annoys me.
  18. Seriously? In that case, I don't want to hear any more talk about how he's a good ref who just made a bad call.
  19. Wings had a great plan and executed it well, no question. On talent alone I feel this should have been a 5 game series. My takeaway is: expect the Kings to try to slug it out, big time. They're going to hit, and hit hard, try to frustrate the Hawks and knock them all over the ice.
  20. Gonna be a hell of a conference finals.
