  1. LOL, that's incredible on a few levels.
  2. Michael and Emery? Emery was the one who was most vocal about theoretically bringing him back but essentially letting him know he should retire. And everybody hates Michael. Actually, he probably hates Ted. Urlacher respects football people and hates non-blonde celebrity civilians. He's got to hate the pencil pushing team president. It's got to be whoever he blames for Lovie's dismissal. Dammit, now I really want to know.
  3. There's plenty of reason for people to be optimistic. Nothing crazy about that. I have very big doubts, but remain hopeful he can get the job done. Yes -- when gambles like this pay off, it's a lot of fun. Especially since it would be the Bears turning to the offensive side of the ball for success. It's just a feast or famine situation. In some ways, I've been hoping the Bears would do something out of the ordinary. Not sure Trestman was what I was hoping for, but if he's the guy to overturn decades of Bears defense-only football and usher the franchise into the new NFL once and for all.....I'll take it.
  4. I think that is insane. If Trestman is a disaster, this team is going to fall apart in a hurry. They were held together by a defense that relied heavily on a system that is no longer being run by the people who implemented and ran the system. And all its best players are old. This team could be drafting at the top within a year or two if Trestman is a disaster. And a CFL coach who hasn't been in the league for a decade and is a weirdo has greater than a 0% chance of being a disaster. Trestman doesn't strike me as the kind of coach who can weather a disastrous start. He'll go down quick if the Bears are a trainwreck this year. What makes you think that? A lot of the same things jersey said. CFL coach, kind of an egghead. There's not a lot of the traditional NFL cache' to draw on to weather an early storm.

  6. *yaaaawn* is it braun suspension time yet?
  7. Factorback. Hehe, I forgot about that. Terrible, meaningless junk.
  8. That may be, but it seems like he's been "expected to be traded before his next outing" for the last two outings.
  9. Just batting practice tonight, nothing more.
  10. Yeah, off the bat the crowd thought so too.
  11. Everything is now flowers and candy and other good things.
  12. Why is it a big deal that the Cards would keep their 100 MPH fireballer in the game?
  13. We should get a tax write-off from all this charity.
  14. Solution: don't score any more runs until the bottom of the 9th.
  15. He wasn't a terrible hitter before 28, so it's not like it came out of nowhere. He's been a good all-around player from 24 onwards. The OPS jump is pronounced starting in 2011. So what? It looks more unusual because of 2010, but other than that he was basically getting better as he got older. It's hardly unheard of. His career-high OPS shot up 100 points in 2011 after having already played six full big-league seasons. I'm thinking that's pretty unheard of. Maybe not unheard of, but I definitely want to know how he did it.

  17. He just wanted to. You need further justification for a St. Louis player? No, I've got a bunch of 27-year-olds in AAA who are dying to know.
  18. Can someone explain to me what suddenly happened at age 28 to turn Molina into a good hitter.
  19. Is the goal itself larger in international, or is it just the crease?
  20. If what Banedon posted is all that Shark said, then I don't see a problem.
  21. On the highlights, I thought Bolland totally threw his gloves off early. Now I think he kind of threw them off after they already got caught in the Boston player's pads.
