  1. You must've been watching a small sample of the game if Curry was dominating. Hmmm... I was watching in the beginning/middle of the 3rd quarter, and Curry was indeed dominating. The Knicks as a whole were during that time. So I posted it. I'm sure it was a small piece of the game. I stopped watching when the Bulls got down by 15. What's the big deal, if I may ask? Curry is certainly capable of playing well. Hasn't shown it this year---maybe his heart really is a serious problem.
  2. Indeed. Which....was.....why I was suggesting what I was suggesting in the first place  But no matter. It looks like the Cubs will simply replace Wrigley piece-by-piece, as others on this thread have noted. It will be interesting to see what happens with the main grandstand structure. That will be the largest project, and will probably need to be handled with the greatest care lest the ballpark go from "classic Wrigley" to "new Wrigley" and lose its historical appeal.
  3. This is fun. I wish there was a way Comcast could broadcast a few Iowa games. Even if they were taped.
  4. BIRD-KILLER HAS A MONSTER CURVE. 8)
  5. Fassero is living proof as long as you are a lefty, it doesn't matter how old or bad you are.
  6. I think that was Dopirak rather than Sing.
  7. Murton will be moved before Pierre. Pierre's on a one-year ride, right? I don't know, he just smells like "bust" to me. Hopefully I'm wrong. I'd rather not mess around if he stinks. You'd move Murton before Pierre, even if Murton was producing and Pierre wasn't?
  8. I say we give Pierre until June to produce. If no dice, dump him ASAP and call up Pie.
  9. How hard would it be to move from first to one of those positions? What's the learning curve? It can't be that bad. He'll never see the light of day with Lee @ 1B, that's pretty much a given. Would be a shame.
  10. Um, can Sing play a little LF? RF? I'd like to see him get more of a shot---not going to happen at 1B obviously.
  11. Haha, Grissom will be this year's Neifi for SURE.
  12. Well, here's to a successful surgery and a speedy recovery for Woody. I'm sure we can all agree to that :)
  13. That should lock up the line and clear the way for Ruben Brown's retirement. Well deserved, by the way. Metcalf used to be a whipping boy of the fans. This year he developed into a solid player.
  14. or, it implies he's worked out real hard, which is fanstastic, but sometimes has consequences, like a creeky knee. Ok, then that implies that Hendry & Baker knew about this all along, it's not a minor thing, they deliberately held it back. We can't have it both ways. Either Hendry & Baker are liars, or Woody's not working out in the offseason. Which is preferable? Does it make sense to you that Woody can't get through an offseason workout program without needing surgery? I mean come on, if that were the case for most people we would need surgery clinics the size of SuperMax prisons. Something is not right. Putting 2 and 2 together, it's not adding up.
  15. I would have to agree. Sad thing is, if he comes out hot in April we'll probably have to live with him the whole season no matter how badly he tanks.
  16. Despite the point total, I agree. He had a good game today. He was playing with a tweak, and yet he had several key plays down the stretch. Good win for the Illini today. Never easy to go in there and win.
  17. Well, Illini by 10 with 6min to go. Certainly not over yet. Nice job putting the team in a position to win on the road though.
  18. Cant' help you with Atlanta, but if anyone wants to know where they stay in Milwaukee, it's the Pfister.
  19. He's back now. Looks a little gimpy, but he's back.
  20. It implies he wasn't running then. Which is also bad, because many have suspected part of Woody's problem is he doesn't perform his due diligence in the offseason.
  21. I understand why people bash Tillman, but I also don't think anyone can reliably cover Steve Smith. Let's look at Ty Law's last decent season, 2003: GS: 15 Solo: 60 Asst: 13 Sacks: 0 Int: 6 FF: 0 FR: 0 TDs: 1 Last year he played in 14 games and had 41 tackles, 6 Ints. He's 32. Tillman last year: GS: 15 Solo: 85 Asst: 11 Sacks: 1 Int: 5 FF: 4 FR: 1 TDs: 1 Last year was one of Till's best statistically. He's young. Ty Law can't cover Steve Smith either, folks. It would be the height of insanity, IMO, to pay out a ton of cash for a guy like Law who is fading to replace Till at corner. I would be for bringing in a young CB to develop behind Tillman. See what happens next year. If Till drops off, you would have a young, cheap option at CB and could move Tillman to safety in '07. I would *draft* a CB, not acquire an expensive, old one in free agency.
  22. Did the Knicks blow it or what??? I saw your post and went and checked the score and the bulls were up by 3 with like 20 seconds left so I was pretty confused. Well, yeah, they blew it. When I posted, it was probably halfway through the 3rd quarter. Curry was dominating, they had a 15 point lead, Marbury/Francis/Rose/Q were raining threes..... I turned it off. Then you posted "Bulls win." I was like, waaaaaa? Sure enough, Knickers blew 15 point lead at home! :D
