    Interesting banter back and forth (minus the insults), but I feel it necessary to point out the obvious. This was the first preseason game, and has absolutely no bearing (no pun intended) on the upcoming season. It was a glorified practice, nothing more. As are all preseason games. Looks like we emerged without any serious injuries.

    I have one. It gets old after awhile. The last time I was into OC'ing it was about 3 years ago, and finally I settled on a more normal speed, that's it. Meddling with the innards of a PC and watching benchmarking numbers roll past my eyes is no longer something I have the patience or desire for.

    Agreed. I guess if I want that "hot doughnut" taste I can follow KK's instructions after visiting DD......and pop 'em in the microwave. :P Save a whole bunch of $$$$ too, as KK is ridiculously overpriced for undersized doughnuts.

    Nope. Apparently metallers don't hold grudges like stoner rockers do. Beatles all the way on this. The Who was a great band, but just not in the same league, and that's a cold hard fact.

    Its amazing what the cream and the clear can do for ya. Bonds only hit 3 in June of '98. Yep, and all the while he was seething with jealousy at McGwire/Sosa, so he started juicing afterwards.... Or so the story goes.

    Yeah, I essentially agree. Color me suprised that the Beatles are opening this much of a margin though. I thought Zep had every bit as much influence, every bit the impact that the great Beatles had. I voted Zep, but won't be upset that the Beatles win. Just a little suprised by the margin, that's all...

    Did you even see the hit? Brown barely touched him, Urlacher's hit wasn't that bad and what I'd expect of practice. It really didn't look that bad, I hope it's not too serious. no, i didn't see it, and the report that i heard on espn 1000 was that urlacher and brown "pinballed" benson as he was making a catch over the middle. i only knew what i was told, so i apologize for the knee-jerk response. that said, urlacher and brown both acted like benson was on a different team when questioned about it. Bernstein is just an angry soul who feels the need to insult others randomly to re-affirm his intelligence. I'd think twice before taking his attitude or philosophies to heart. Just a bit of advice...

    This looks like a sprain *knocks on wood* X-Rays negative. Benson said today he admits he was a little freaked out when it happened because he's never really been injured much, but that now it just feels sore. Doctors will re-test him in a bit. There's a possibility we will have all 3 RBs in time for the season, which is still 5 weeks away.

    Queen has won. Come on, admit it. The only way Pink Floyd wins is if a few mysterious "new" members show up before tomorrow. This one should be called before that can happen. Admit it Floyd lost.

    ChicagoBears.com had a story about how Clark isn't as fat or slow anymore. Almost in those words, too...and it was the main story. From what I saw when I was down there, it looks to be true. He looks great---and he caught everything thrown his way. I was impressed. Manning Jr. also impressed me. He laid a smack on Benson that sent chills up my spine. All reports since say the guy is looking great. My least impressive guys? Griese and Orton. And Currie. I suppose we shouldn't expect much from Currie. He last until what? The 5th round? Scouts know what they're doing for the most part. And Orton---I think he's just losing his focus because he's been demoted to 3rd string.

    For me it's because they no longer have anything to offer, but they still keep digging for gold. Hey----more power to 'em. I'm not blasting them, believe me. But I don't have to continue to like them. Voted Who, with a bullet.

    The only thing incredible about Queen was their incredible lack of incredibleness. That's a meaningless comment, no offense. Lots of people would say the same thing about Floyd.

    wikipedia.com Think about that...Philadelphia organization went from 1883-1979 without winning a TITLE. Then in 1980....BOOM, World Series titles, after 97 years. The Cubs last won the title in 1908. This is 2006. After the year, the Cubs would have gone 98 years without a title, and they will set the record for the longest drought in sports history. Phildelphia was at 97 years without a title. Chicago NL will be at 98 and counting. Doesn't that give you SUCH a confidence that this org knows what the heck they are doing? :evil: (Did you know theme plays) Indeed. However, an organization must also be judged on things like profitability, marketability, fan interest, market share. The Cubs do very well in these categories. I'll stick with an organization who not only loses, but has no fan support as my WORST franchise. #of years since the last championship is only one factor. And that franchise? It is the Blackhawks.

    Clayton also posted an internet article on the Bears where he was basically gushing over the team. He was quite impressed, calling the Bears the obvious favorite in the division and mentioning how impressive Benson and Berrian looked. I was suprised ESPN even sent someone to Bourbonnais. They've had their entire crew in Dallas since TC started.
