  1. I couldn't understand the double-switch for Braun though. And then the pitching stuff too. He's made some bad decisions. I think some players were grumbling about his decision-making earlier in the year too. He's the guy who had the fortune of riding the wave when all these prospects hit the majors though, so he's the one who is up for an extension if the Crew makes the playoffs. That's how it works I guess, the other guys might have actually been better but they didn't have the timing. Heck I don't deny that he may have made a bad move but I've seen a coach win X amount of games in a row coaching a certain style. Everybody loves him and then he loses a couple and those same fans question those moves, the same exact types of moves he's made before. What did Yost do, the whole situation? I think the thing that's being said today is the fact that Yost went to Turnbow with inherited runners, something he has shown he can't do. And then he went to Wise who has been just drop dead terrible in the 2nd half. The Braun situation I don't know the full story, I just know when I switched to the game he was out. To me that's like double-switching Lee out of the game. Maybe I'm wrong and I fully admit to not knowing the whole situation there, but how does that make sense unless Braun is struggling?

  3. I think there's some big bucks being made doing exactly that.
  4. I actually agree with Bonds. Really? It's not obvious to you that Barry's attacking it out of fear that it will be branded? It's obvious to me.
  5. So are the Braves tanking it then? Throwing junk pitchers that the Crew has a nice long scouting report on??
  6. And we're back up to 71.79337%. Better than a roller coaster ride @ Great America.
  7. Don't worry, everyone's doing it so that makes it O.K.
  8. Crew used a lot of pitchers tonight too, sahweet!
  9. It's only a matter of time before they start talking Texans. This is probably the best chance for Houston to win it.
  10. Lidge getting tagged big time, just out. Is this really the best they can do? Wow, that should have been a strike.
  11. Hasn't Oswalt's wife given birth yet? Can't he show up and be the hero? Yeah get his butt back to the park! Hard hit but out.
  12. Ack. And Fielder coming up. Yost's gamble pays off. Clearly trying to save arms for the upcoming games.
  13. There'd be a 10 page thread in Baseball Discussions the next day, with Modzilla prowling and everything
  14. One more of those and that will be it, Mitch 8-)
  15. OOOOooh, he's another sidearm guy. Yost is in love with 'em.
  16. How about an In Play, Run(s)? Might be fun if they put it up even if it wasn't true.
  17. Thaaaat's right Ned. Use another pitcher. Yes yes, another pitcher.
  18. No dice. When you suck like Ausmus, best leave the bat on your shoulder.
  19. Brad Ausmus. The man, the myth, the legend.
  20. Another marginal talent who will no doubt dominate because the Crew is so unlucky.
  21. probably the euphoria from the cubs win... don't worry, won't last long LOL, spoken like a true Cub fan. Don't worry, the crushing depression is right around the corner.
