  1. Yeah, the 2 game lead with 4 to go is too much to overcome Lou's pitching Trachsel for all the remaining games. Experience and grit just counts for too much.
  2. Lou, will you please get Steve freaking Trachsel out of this DAMN ballgame? Good God!
  3. (camera pans to Hendry in the pressbox) Eventually they'll figure out the reason though: not enough GRIT.
  4. LOL, LOL, LOL. That's the best Trax can do. Sac freaking fly.
  5. So you get a ground ball by throwing belt-high meatballs now? My God why do we have Trax out there?
  6. Nightmare. Someone stop this from happening!!
  7. Bases loaded 1st god damn inning already. WHAT. THE. FRAK!!!!
  8. He's gonna get tagged up sooooo bad by these guys. Only a matter of time.
  9. GET THIS CLOWN OUT OF HERE BEFORE HE RUINS THE WHOLE SEASON!
  10. See I tried to tell you all that Kendall should start every game. But would you listen? nnnNOOOOOoooo.
  11. MONROE PLAYED IN A WORLD SERIES!! WHY OH WHY DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND? I keep forgetting that talent means everything from April to August, but come Sept its all about experience, and screw talent. this is why you'll never manage in the majors. this, and the fact that you didn't play in the majors. but mostly the first part Vet = grit + grind grit + grind > talent & production. Sheesh people, do the math.
  12. Quit pushing, ARam. Freaking relax. In play, run(s)!!!
  13. Don't worry, we're more interested in mojo now than truth and logic 8-)
  14. I know. He has accounted for 33% of our runs so far in this series though.
  15. The eyes of a freaking serial killer if I've ever seen 'em.
  16. I shouldn't watch this. It's going to kill me and I need to get work done.
  17. Alright Cubs, that was really funny with you losing 2 in a row and freaking everyone out. Haha. But now it's not funny anymore so start winning ballgames or there's going to be people jumping off buildings and stuff back in Chicago.
  18. They wouldn't seriously lose 10 in a row to the Fish, would they?
  19. Yeah, but for the Cubs the best chance comes when the chances are lowest. ehem.
  20. There could be a 3-way in that WC race. I think they do a 2-game playoff with someone getting a "bye" for the first game. I wouldn't mind seeing it, that would be fun as long as it isn't us.
  21. I must say, over lunch I was just listening to Murph. Yes I know sometimes he's not the brightest guy, but... He was saying, "and I don't buy that Lou's going to play Kendall all these games. He's just pumping up Kendall, saying 'you're my guy' but in reality he'll play Soto more than he's saying." ...and presto, Soto's in the lineup. That's not a bad call. It was in the midst of Steve Stone ranting for about 10 minutes about Kendall's inability to throw out runners, too.
  22. My fear? They've decided Murton is the odd man out for the playoff roster so they're using their playoff lineup v. LHP. If Murton is left off the playoff roster in favor of Monroe, Jim Hendry should be beaten. Monroe's got the definite edge in grit.
  23. I'm starting to lose my mind over this crap. For my own sanity's sake, can you guys, you know, WIN a game or two here? Or are you really going to actually drop 10 in a row to the Marlins? COME THE HELL ON.
  24. And they have to the best shot to win their division by a wide margin. We should therefore be able to GRIT our way into the playoffs.
