  1. Two vote differential so far. Much like Andy's thread became an ND bashing/loving thread, I predict this somehow turns into an OMC/Sulleymon political throwdown.
  2. no, that team actually won more games than they lost, plus they bunched most of their chokes up toward the end of the year. this team knew how to choke from day one. Maybe this team will get their choking done early and cruise through the end of their schedule and into the playoffs. Just a thought. :)
  3. Come friends and neighbors, the underdog needs to rally. Think of all those times you've seen the underdog nearly upset the Dukes and Yankees of the world. This is your chance to see those dreams become a reality. Topple the dynasty that is soccer10k and help dew advance on to continue the upset efforts. Vote for dew. 8-) :D
  4. Stickin to the southern roots. Good man OMC.
  5. Staying loyal to the fellow Tennessee resident, I like it. :D
  6. Us fans of individual Colt players gotta stick together Bob.
  7. Overlooking the Vol fandom in me. Thanks Tiger. :D
  8. Not even close. Vote for dew. :D
  9. For some reason this match has a feel much like you get when Duke or North Carolina are trailing an underdog for much of the game. You watch to see if the upset will happen, but have that feeling the favorite will pour it on late to win. Nothing against NewUserName - I think he's a fine poster - but this just has the feel of a late Derwood surge. Don't know why. Either way, good luck to both. :D
  10. You mean Roast is going to hit a last second three-pointer at the buzzer while falling backwards to beat Marco? This I've got to see. :D
  11. He does seem to moderate in an even fashion. I've rarely seen him go heavier on one side than another.
  12. I've never seen him ruffle any feathers and that may be the key to going a long way in this thing.
  13. What about those folks who don't have avatars? Are you prejudiced against those of us without much computer savvy? I do kind of like Garwilly's idea about a little background info, though I have a feeling if somebody doesn't recognize a poster, they probably ought not vote for them.
  14. I've never found Del Rio to be that bad, but they could certainly do better. "Elite" may have been too strong a word, but they would definitely be a very dangerous team. One of the better teams in the AFC, consistently. They'd be improved. They're already a borderline playoff team that won 12 games in 2005. Not sure their ceiling is much higher. The AFC still has the Colts, Patriots, Chargers, Steelers, Ravens, Broncos, Bengals. It's a pretty strong conference without a lot of upward mobility. With a good to great QB, though, I think they go from somewhere well below the Colts and a little ahead of the Titans and Texans, to right there with the Colts. You are very right that there's not much upward mobility in the AFC, but the pieces are there for the Jags to fight with the Colts - they just need a QB.

  16. Wonder what happened? Must be something serious.
  17. Ahhh, my bad. It would be nice if he could hit better lower in the order. So, I guess I agree with you. :D
  18. Salty gave that a ride. Sure would like to see him as a Cub...
  19. He's not as good a hitter hitting down there. It doesn't make sense, but his career stats back it up. Terrific catch by Sori! :D
  20. Villareal was throwing in the first inning. It'd be nice to make them throw a crapload of innings with two more games left in the series, especially if Smoltz isn't in the game on Sunday. That would be terrific. Especially since their bullpen (outside of Soriano) is very iffy anyway.
  21. Yep. Hopefully Barrett actually does something here.
  22. Villareal was throwing in the first inning.
  23. Too bad this is the last time we face the Braves this year. Course Cormier may not be long for the majors at this pace.
