It depends on what Payton wants to do with him. Technically Patten, Henderson, and Terrance Copper are ahead of him on the depth chart. Patten is reliable but old, Henderson is fast as lightning but drops half the balls thrown to him, and Copper is just meh. So, I'd like to think that Payton will go to Meachem. Hell, the Saints spent a first round pick on the guy, so they should at least try. I'd probably wait and see what he does (or if he is even used) in the game against the 'Skins this weekend. If he does well, then I'd scoop him up in a heartbeat, given how often Brees throws the ball. I actually drafted him late in one of my drafts - I was already stacked at receiver with Torry Holt, Santonio Holmes, Dwayne Bowe, Bernard Berrian and Javon Walker - because he was so impressive in the preseason and I felt like he could beat out those three. It's just a matter of starting him over one of Holmes, Holt or one of my running backs at the RB/WR spot.
