  1. Wow, I JUST realized the 49ers won the game... Seahawks 0-2? Arizona 2-0? Wow. Yeah, wow. The Seahawks are 0-2 and have lost 5 WR, 1 RB, 1 RG to injury. Starting 0-2 is pretty easy Bitter, eh? I understand, by the way.
  2. ? You really think they are gonna give up 6 runs? Was that sarcasm? I'm talking about the no hitter... my heart is pounding every pitch haha. I get more nervous when the Cubs are not pitching. I end up dwelling on the idea the entire time the Cubs are up to bat.
  3. That's about the only thing I'd change to truly make it a dream scenario. :D
  4. Mississippi State's defense looked great, but Auburn's offense did make a huge amount of mistakes as well. It may end up working, but that Tony Franklin spread offense isn't cutting it in Auburn right now.
  5. Peter Gibbons: Let me ask you something. When you come in on Monday, and you're not feelin' real well, does anyone ever say to you, 'Sounds like someone has a case of the Mondays'? Lawrence: No. No, man. ****, no, man. I believe you'd get your *** kicked sayin' something like that, man.
  6. I know I'm a little late to the celebration, but I've got to throw in my two cents on this one: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :clapping:   :good:  :) \:D/  :D) =D> This is freaking awesome!!! The only thing that tops this in my mind is a World Series win. Though turning on Woody's 20K game in the bottom of the ninth after school was pretty incredible.
  7. I can see that and Hochuli probably should have eaten the whistle there. Even the best make mistakes, I guess. Hochuli one of the best in the league? I don't pay much attention to the refs unless its a Cowboys game, but everytime he's reffed for us he's been borderline [expletive]. Really? He's normally a very good ref. Excellent reputation and I've only seen a couple of his games where I've had any questions about him. I also like how he's very specific about his explanations on confusing calls. Last year in our opening game vs. the Giants, Ware was held all night long. In several cases flags were thrown, only to be picked back up. Some of his excuses for the picked up flags in that game were "the player being held wasn't a factor in the play, no penalty" and "No penalty because the player ran through the hold". He also reffed a game this year in the preseason and made several terrible calls. One of the players called him out saying that sometimes he throws flags just so that he can show off his body to the cameras. He's known to most Cowboys fans as Ed Hock-a-loogie (though Hocules and "Guns" are also popular). I remember the Giants/Cowboys game from last year, but that's only one of two or three that I remember him struggling in. Every time he's reffed the Titans or another team I've watched, he's been excellent.

  9. How long is Derek Anderson's leash? Five bad games, 10, all year? I'm probably overreacting, but with Brady Quinn on the bench, if the Brown offense doesn't get going under Anderson I have to think the Cleveland fans will start howling for the ND boy.

  11. That definitely was a horrible, horrible call. And by Ed Hochuli too, one of the better officials in the league. They should be able to reverse that call - even if the whistle blows.
  12. What are the chances Randall Cobb beats out Hartline at some point? I have no idea how either is doing (save for looking at their stats), but I heard Cobb replaced Hartline in the game last week. Not high, Hartline got knocked out of the game with an injury. He's a drop back QB with an ok arm and suspect accuracy, he doesn't make mistakes nor big plays. He's not someone that bring UK to 8 wins, but he won't drop them down to 4 either. I see. Had no idea Hartline got hurt. Nevermind, it was Cobb that got hurt. I couldn't remember from last night. Who knows who'll be starting, my guess is with Hartline. I figured Hartline would keep starting early on here, but wondered if Cobb had a chance to develop past Hartline later in the year. I figured Rich Brooks was desperate for Curtis Pulley to stay at least in part because he wasn't crazy about Hartline.

  15. Not sure we have much of a chance Saturday. I think the defense can contain Tebow and Harvin and the rest of those freaks fairly well, but I have little faith in Crompton settling down enough to move the offense effectively. If we win, it'll have to be 10-7 or 17-14, etc. That said, I'm expecting 31-17 Florida.
  16. Good god do I hate Al Davis. I love how he doesn't even think it's his fault - somehow Kiffin has changed since being hired. I don't think it was necessarily a mistake hiring him, but Davis out to at least take the blame for his perceived mistake. I feel for you soccer.
  17. He's Tyler Thigpen, a second year player from (I believe) a small school. Not sure why he's playing, other than because Damon Huard isn't a great option and Thigpen is, at least, young. He went to Coastal Carolina That would definitely be a small school.
  18. I'm watching and yes, it's nearly impossible to pass, kick or punt. There have been a combined four punts muffed due to the wind, one missed field goal and numerous wild passes thrown because of the gusts. There's also trash and crap flying around the screen and the field, as well as pants and shirts fluttering crazily. can't wait to see the highlights. i love when the vikings do something good and they play the horn of gondor. It's fun stuff - especially since the Titans are up 24-7. :D

  21. Good to see from Meachem! I really liked him coming out of Tennessee - hopefully he'll do a lot of good things.
  22. That's good news for the Titans. I picked the Titans in the elimination pool thing. Titan's defense + Windy weather = No chance really for the Bengals. Definitely good for us. Somehow, DeDe Dorsey and Chris Perry have become awesome players against us, but the Bengals haven't been able to get the ball in the end zone. Both QBs are struggling to be accurate in this wind. Titan's defense can play with anyone in the league. Add in a little Chris Johnson and its suprising that alot of people picked them to not compete this year. The Titans aren't a sexy team, that's why they weren't picked highly. They don't throw the ball well, their QB is questionable and their receivers aren't anything special. But, the strength of the team is the running game and the defense - and the Titans are excellent in that regard. I think they can make the playoffs, but I'm not sure if Vince or Kerry can make the necessary plays once there. They should be favorites for a playoff spot though.
