  1. I post a non anime chick, and this is the thanks I get. She's definitely hot, but the tattoo hurts.
  2. If the Titans don't make the Super Bowl in a year (and this is the first year since 2004 that I've thought they had a legit shot) I normally root for the Colts to get there. Almost entirely because of Peyton, but hey, at least I'm rooting for them. :D
  3. I love games like this. It's fun to have crazy offensive games, but ugly smashmouth games like this are fun too at times.
  4. I would have loved any of those three groups of announcers, but alas, we're stuck with Dick. And to make matters worse, we'll probably get the "pleasure" of Joe Buck and Thom Brennaman in the next two rounds. #-o I do find it interesting that they have no problem putting a Milwaukee announcer in charge of the Brewers playoff series. Too bad they won't let Len and Bob do our series.
  5. If Lohse is worth $10+ mil a year (and he's not), Dempster should be worth $20-25 mil a year. Wow, that would be a dumb signing by Mozeliak. CC Sabathia will now be worth a mid sized European nation. 10 years, $500 million should be about right if Lohse is getting 4/48.
  6. I think we might win this game, but it likely won't be pretty. Fulmer has announced there is a QB controversy in Knoxville as Jonathon Crompton will fight it out with Nick Stephens for the starting job. While I would prefer giving all the reps to Stephens, I like this move. The offense simply isn't getting anything done right now and the primary reason for that is Crompton. He has the most potential of any of our QBs, I think, but it's looking right now like he can't make the adjustments on-field and get his mindset right. It'll be interesting to see how many people show up Saturday. Tickets are going on E-bay for face value (unheard of in Tennessee) and there are thoughts we won't top 80,000. If that happens the rest of the year, people may finally get their wish and see Fulmer gone. NIU could make things interesting if they play as well as they did last week. I know it was only Eastern Michigan, but the defense looked rock solid and NIU has insane depth at running back. I think they'll hang in there for a little bit before Tennessee pulls it out. Actually I have some friends making the trip to Neyland and if ticket prices are going that cheap, I might bite on that seeing how SIU and Illinois both have roadies this week. A couple of buddies of mine got good seats in Neyland for $40 apiece. It looks like decent seating is going for roughly face value - if you want to see Neyland, now may be the time to jump on it. I figure the game will go something like the UAB game did. Remains close for much of the first half, and then Tennessee pulls away to win relatively easily in the second half. NIU is probably a little better than UAB, though, so the Vols better actually show up.
  7. Did that increase at all with the firing of Matt Millen? Because it should have. I'm sure it increased after the Packers and Vikings losses. Hey, they may hit 1% before the end of the year. :P
  8. Gammons picked the Dodgers last night on SportsCenter. It should be a good series. I'm curious, what was his rationale? Actually, if you click the link there, there's a video for "BBTN: Dodgers-Cubs Preview" in their video playlist. But to spoil it anyway, he doesn't know what we're going to get out of Z and Harden, and he likes Lowe, Billingsly, and the dodger bullpen against our RH-heavy lineup. We're OPSing .793 against righties and .807 against lefties. I don't think having an RH-heavy lineup will be the deal breaker.

  11. Interesting, hadn't thought about Baltimore since they've only played two games. Is it safe to assume, though, that according to the data if the Titans beat the Ravens Sunday, they will then be the best team in the AFC? :D I guess so. The Titans are one of the better stories in the NFL right now. First ever 4-0 start in franchise history. Old backup QB leading the way when the young hotshot was injured. Few big-time media stars (Bulluck and Haynesworth are about it). I'm starting to love this season. :D
  12. Interesting, hadn't thought about Baltimore since they've only played two games. Is it safe to assume, though, that according to the data if the Titans beat the Ravens Sunday, they will then be the best team in the AFC? :D Heh, as long as they outplay them while doing it, and look better than Buffalo in the process... ;) After Baltimore/Tennessee/Buffalo there's a huge gap in the AFC to the next "tier". To make you feel better: Even before this week, the Titans had the best odds of any team in the NFL to make the playoffs =D> It looks so strange to see Baltimore, Tennessee and Buffalo as the class of the AFC. Two of those three won't last long, though, I don't think.
  13. Same as you, but also because I'd love to see Boston and both New York teams out of the playoffs by the end of the first round.
  14. I'm disappointed I'm the only one to vote for DeRosa. Where's the DeRo love?

  16. Decent game for the Titans Sunday. The defense is continuing its dominance and penchant for getting turnovers - both good things - and the offense is simply not screwing up too badly. The only real difference I've seen with Kerry Collins in there over Vince is that Kerry doesn't make the dumb throws Vince does on occassion. Kerry's not really any better on the deep ball, but is a little more accurate than Vince on the short throws. With this defense, though, it's vital the QB doesn't make mistakes. I'm really starting to wonder right now, against my better judgement, if the Titans are currently the best team in the AFC. They're definitely a playoff team and each week makes me think even more that they can reach the Super Bowl.

  18. A whole lot of people probably just got eliminated in survival football with the Dallas loss. I thought it'd be close, but I'm impressed by how well the Redskins played.
  19. You are setting yourself up for about a 40% chance at some severe shock. No bursting bubbles Kyle. [-X As much as I realize the playoffs are a crapshoot, we have the best pitching in the NL playoffs. I understand where Kyle's coming from, but I just can't overcome the Cub-optimism in me.
  20. Agreed. Football has taken over my sports interest, so I'm not all that depressed in the season ending. But now, once the playoffs start, I'll be solely focusing my nerves and excitement on the Cubs. I'm only disappointed in the season ending once the Cubs are eliminated - but since we're winning it all this year, I won't be disappointed. :D
  21. Vikings punt down 13 with 1:53 left in the game? Childress must be conceding - that's the only way that move makes sense.
  22. Nice run by CJ for the touchdown should put this game away. Intercept Jackson please.
  23. the ball was long gone and he put his helmet right in frerotte's [expletive], that's a penalty every time. He was already lunging by the time Frerotte released the ball. He might have been able to stop, but I'm not sure. I don't think that's right, but I'm willing to be wrong. doubt they show the replay again, anyway. I could be allowing my bias to seep in, but it looked to me like KVB was already beginning his lunge with the ball still in-hand. We'll just have to agree to be unsure, I guess. He's probably scared, the Titan defense has been killing him. Just limped off the field after Tony Brown's hit. Looks like Tarvaris Jackson will take over here.
  24. INT Nick Harper!!! Tony Brown with the pressure! Titan ball inside the Viking 10!
