  1. The Dolphins need to get on this. They need a #1 receiver, however, I wouldn't give up anything more than one of our 2nd round picks. The Cowboys have also been rumored. They would be absolutely terrifying if they had Roy Williams opposite TO. I hope the Titans inquire, but too good to be true is too much for me, I suspect. Reinfeldt and Fisher have already ruled out dealing a #1 pick, which is fine by me in this situation.
  2. Doubt seriously anything will come of it, but it's interesting nonetheless. Their terrible defense and injured o-line will be more of a problem IMO. The defense should improve when Bob Sanders returns. The o-line might get better when the starters actually decide to get healthy. And I don't really think this'll be much of a distraction for Marvin. It's not serious enough.
  3. NFL Network's Adam Schefter is reporting the Lions would be willing to part with Roy Williams if the offer is "too good to be true." If only Matt Millen were still there, too good to be true might be Paul Williams and Chris Henry from the Titans. They were second and third round picks, after all.
  4. Marvin Harrison is getting sued by the victim of the shooting over the summer, according to ESPN. Will this be a distraction for the Colts, perhaps? Doubt seriously anything will come of it, but it's interesting nonetheless.
  5. These new-fangled "planes" are never gonna catch on. Maybe one day they will, you never know. They'll catch on just as soon as people are interacting with others across a system called the "internet". Trust me, it's never gonna happen.
  6. I'd run for governor or either house of Congress. Those, in my opinion, are/should be the most prestigious positions in this country to hold.
  7. Yeah, that was weird. Funny guy, but why cite him as a source? Hilarious. Tim Stuart should be a source for them. He's a good guy who runs a very popular Cubs message board too. I don't even have the first clue who Andy Dolan is.
  8. No Titans on Sunday. Still some good games on and this'll give me a chance to scout some of the good AFC teams out there that I haven't gotten to watch much (Colts, Patriots, etc).
  9. It wasn't Hochuli's call. It was made by another ref, he just reported it. He likely will get blamed, though.
  10. I really, truly hate fantasy football. Adrian Peterson pretty much every week puts up 15-20 points for me. This week, that's all I need to win. So what has Peterson done to this point? 5 carries, 2 yards.
  11. Having a running back on your team about to turn 29 is usually a bad idea. Jacksonville went from looking good to being embarrassed by Pittsburgh in florida. that was some one-sided reffing in that game, and I was rooting for (betting on) Jax. How is losing 26-21 to a consensus Super Bowl contender an embarassment? The Jags haven't been particularly good this year, but I don't think last night was an example of that. I wasn't particularly impressed with either team, but with the Pats & Colts down this year they each probably have a legit shot. I think this is the year when the NFC is finally fielding teams that are better than the AFC. Right now I'd take the Skins & Giants over anything from the AFC in the Super Bowl. You're probably right. I still think the Titans - if for no other reason than the great defense - would keep the Skins and Giants close, but that's about the only AFC team looking good enough to like in the Super Bowl. AFC is certainly down this year, it appears.
  12. I see your point. No idea why the Jags were favored though. I hadn't heard that before the game.

  14. I guess Lewis thinks Perry is more valuable than he is. Five fumbles in five games and he sits for one play.
  15. T.O. T.D. that was a great call on the kick though, they executed it perfectly. gotta think perry won't be seeing the field again for a while Definitely a good idea on the onside kick and it was pulled off perfectly. And I don't know for sure what Marvin Lewis is thinking on the matter, but Perry isn't good enough to put up with the fumbles. He's gotta be benched.
  16. I agree completely with this (even if my still-frustrated attitude doesn't). Here's a question though: Assuming Dempster does not return, who do you think we should go after and who do you think we will go after? It may be too early to answer at this point, but I'd like your input if you can. Burnett I like your thinking. High injury risk, so I wouldn't pay a ton, but otherwise may be a good investment.
  17. And then Chris Perry fumbles the football and Dallas recovers. #-o :-))
  18. Marvin Lewis with a risk-taking onside kick after a field goal. And the Bengals recover. They now have the ball early in the fourth, down just 17-16.

  20. You'll beat us, pretty easily I might add. This team is done. This is the type of loss that just kills you for the rest of the season. Losing Cullen Jenkins was probably the worst thing that could've happened because now we can't get pressure on the quarterback. Seattle and Indianapolis before the bye and then you guys and Minnesota right after it. What a depressing turn of events. I won't be all that surprised if those four games produce 2-3 losses. The most likely wins, I'll admit, are Green Bay and Chicago but I'm not ready to chalk any of them into the win column quite yet. The bye is coming at a great time, though, after this tough, physical game. It'll give us a chance to rest before the toughest stretch of the year. The Colts aren't good. The Colts are very talented and, if they're able to get an early advantage, can turn the game into a shootout - exactly what this Titan team does not want. The Colts are a tough matchup and a rivalry, therefore the game worries me. Oh, the Colts certainly could beat the Titans. They've just given no indication that they're a team to be feared; talent level notwithstanding. Even when the Titans sucked, there was a good chance they'd give the Colts a fight. This game is no different (not saying the Colts suck, but the Titans are pretty clearly better right now), in my opinion. If it turns into a shootout (which I know Peyton, Reggie Wayne and Marvin will want), the Colts will likely win.
  21. I wouldn't say it's a "most likely win" against the Bears and Packers to be honest. GB has underachieved no doubt. but they have enough talent to beat the Titans as for the Bears, this team is 2 quarters away from being undefeated. Which means the Bears are likely better then what most pundit (and fans alike) thought they were. With that said, it wouldn't surprise me if Tennessee beats one of Indy/Jack and one of Chicago/GB in that stretch. But I really like what Fisher got going on there in Tennessee and they may be the best in the AFC this yr. What I'm saying by "most likely" is that out of those four games, if the Titans go 2-2 (which I think is likely), the two wins are more likely to be GB and Chicago than Indy and Jax. Nothing against Green Bay or Chicago - both could easily beat the Titans - but Indy and Jax pose worse matchups than GB and Chicago and both are rivalries. And this team is extremely similar to the Titans team that reached the Super Bowl in 99. Strong running game, great defense and semi-smart QB play. I would even say Kerry this year is better than Steve McNair in 99. Obviously without the upside, but for this year alone Kerry might be slightly better.

  24. Titans win! It wasn't pretty by any means and we pretty much played like crap all day, but that was not unexpected. 5-0 is a wonderful thing with a bye week next week and then the Chiefs the week after. Then, though, comes a stretch of Indianapolis, Green Bay, Chicago and Jacksonville. Our first loss will likely come in that stretch.
  25. But why couldn't they cover? Jerks. Yeah, they suck. :D Ravens have the ball back at the 20 with 19 seconds left and no timeouts. They just need a field goal, but Stover doesn't have a strong leg.
