I think we might win this game, but it likely won't be pretty. Fulmer has announced there is a QB controversy in Knoxville as Jonathon Crompton will fight it out with Nick Stephens for the starting job. While I would prefer giving all the reps to Stephens, I like this move. The offense simply isn't getting anything done right now and the primary reason for that is Crompton. He has the most potential of any of our QBs, I think, but it's looking right now like he can't make the adjustments on-field and get his mindset right. It'll be interesting to see how many people show up Saturday. Tickets are going on E-bay for face value (unheard of in Tennessee) and there are thoughts we won't top 80,000. If that happens the rest of the year, people may finally get their wish and see Fulmer gone. NIU could make things interesting if they play as well as they did last week. I know it was only Eastern Michigan, but the defense looked rock solid and NIU has insane depth at running back. I think they'll hang in there for a little bit before Tennessee pulls it out. Actually I have some friends making the trip to Neyland and if ticket prices are going that cheap, I might bite on that seeing how SIU and Illinois both have roadies this week. A couple of buddies of mine got good seats in Neyland for $40 apiece. It looks like decent seating is going for roughly face value - if you want to see Neyland, now may be the time to jump on it. I figure the game will go something like the UAB game did. Remains close for much of the first half, and then Tennessee pulls away to win relatively easily in the second half. NIU is probably a little better than UAB, though, so the Vols better actually show up.
