    You could've had A-Rod at SS and the Cubs would still be behind the Brewers, even Izturis on his worst days wouldn't cost the Cubs a grand total of around 16 games over the course of the season.

    Seems like we've had more than one manager who was willing to argue for his team elsewhere, but arrives in Chicago and suddenly becomes a teddy bear. Who cares if he acts like Gandhi the rest of the way, people are looking for entertainment values of him blowing up rather than his actual capabilities as a manager when I see something like this. I believe he's a good manager still, he's just made some poor moves that shouldn't happen at this point in the season given previous results as well unable to find a more stable line-up against RH'ers and LH'ers.

    I talked to the Marlins area guy about Parker and he's the best HS pitcher he's ever seen. Granted, this area doesn't ever get anyone like that, but that's impressive. I'd be surprised but not shocked if the Cubs got him. While I doubt they would get him, I think the Cubs will get Crosby at 46.

    I hate these complaints, a better mindset would probably go a long ways in improving how they during day games at home. The disadvantages of playing day games also carries over to the opponent. Instead, they only focus on how it is a negative for them and it impacts them from that point forward.

    Unfort. no, I wanted to last weekend as I was in Terre Haute, IN but that's about 100 miles from where Parker is. I've only seen 2 of the top 100 kids (Crosby and Zimmerman).

    If Murton was the everyday OF'er and one of Ward/Floyd had not been signed, it would be a move that I could see occur. Right now, never.

    He has progressed quicker than I expected. I still think 3-5 years from now Bruce and Maybin will be better, but it doesn't take away how much he has progressed or how gifted he can become.

    I am in total awe.... :shock: I seen Pat pitch in a College all-star game last Summer, he threw 9 pitches, 9 strikes, and struck out all 3. He threw LH'ed to 2 batters and right handed to the last one.
