  1. I'm not the only one who gets weirded out when Len and Bob are dressed the same, am I?
  2. If he keeps saying it, maybe he'll finally believe it.
  3. I dunno, if the Sox sweep the Cubs in this series, I could see people getting rabid enough that Hendry might actually make a move and fire some one. Granted, it'd probably be some one useless like Sarge, but hey.
  4. But dudes, Dusty lost his horse in Womack! How can he win now?

  6. Good game going in Boise so far, which is still knotted at 0. Muldowney threw four scoreless and Marky Mark II is now in the game. Colvin also got his first hit on a line drive single in the 6th.
  7. Colvin's starting at DH tonight for Boise. His first professional at bat was a strikeout. Rockies uber-pitching prospect Shane Lindsay is starting for Tri-City, by the way.
  8. I rather like the idea of sending a number of guys on this team to the glue factory.
  9. The problems are going to be age and the money he's looking for. He's going to be 32 this coming season, so it's going to be harder for him to do as well in future years as he did during his prime. I like him a lot as a defensive threat, but breaking the bank on him would not be a good idea, imo. I'd rather see this team explore relatively cheaper options, lock up some guys with extensions, and wait until next offseason to go on a spending spree. There are going to be some really good FAs and RFAs next season who could have a much better impact on this team than Wallace.
  10. The two are not mutually exclusive. Even the dead think this team is horrible.
  11. Had the Cubs lost yesterday, they would have been swept in 9 of their last 17 series. Discuss.
  12. That was a borderline pitch, but probably would have been a strike.
  13. The crooked hat thing, too. Funny how Juan Pierre does most of those things...
  14. I hate how sloppy baseball players have been getting with their uniforms. Leaving the top button of the jersey unbuttoned, not tucking in pockets, wearing stupid shirts underneath the jersey, not tucking in jerseys... Guh.
  15. I am going to be unpredictable, and say the Cubs will lose. 8) *GASP!!!!*
  16. I predict the Brewers somehow manage to score in the bottom half of the 9th.
  17. Isn't that one of the biggest problems most young OFs have? I've heard from a number of places that balls hit right at the OF are always the hardest to judge, but I don't know if that's a load or what.

  19. Canzler's leading the league in home runs at this moment with 4. Not bad, considering how young the season is. Let's hope that if he becomes the next Harvey/Dopirak uber-power prospect, some one can bash some plate patience into his head. I don't care much for Ks as long as a guy shows he can walk on a consistent basis.
  20. That Daytona/Vero Beach game sounded like a scorcher. The Dodgers trotted out one of their best young arms, Scott Elbert, who threw 7.2 IP, gave up 1 hit, 4 walks, one earned run...and struck out 13. Yeowza!
  21. The highlight of the draft for me was Dan Patrick's exchange with David Stern. It was unbelievably hilarious with some surprising barbs exchanged.
  22. Dave Bush should be DFA'd for that. Who the hell gives up a HR to Pierre?!
  23. Marmol is doing well enough. Otherwise, whatever.
